Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Nisemono High School is one of the best in the country; many students gather here not only for education but also for connections. Sons and daughters of politicians, CEOs, and influential people gather here, and the center of it all is Hikaru Akiyama.

NPC1: Akiyama sure is popular today.

NPC2: Sure he is, but did you know I heard a rumor about him today?

NPC3: A rumor?

NPC1: We all know that he's from the Akiyama family, one of the richest families in the country. They're literally old money.

NPC3: I mean, yeah, their family has been going on for more than 6 generations. What rumor could he possibly have?

NPC2: So you know my dad is one of his partners, right?

NPC3: And?

NPC2: It turns out he is an illegitimate child.

NPC1: Lower your voice; he can hear you.

NPC 4: Hey Hikaru, just don't mind them.

Hikaru: It's fine; I don't mind. It's not like it's not true or anything.

The whole class erupted in shock

NPC5: So it's true? The popular Hikaru is an illegitimate child.

Hikaru: Yes, I may be illegitimate, but that doesn't mean I am lower than you. In this school, everyone is equal, right?

He said in a very friendly tone that with his charisma, he managed to turn the tide. In the middle of it all stands a gloomy guy who is reading what seems to be a manga, but he seems unsatisfied.

Gloomy guy:"in his mind" tsk what a bust kill just because he's good looking you forgive him so quickly? If it were me, I would be socially rejected.

The class begins to quiet down.

Hikaru: That was dangerous.

My name is Hikaru Akiyama. I AM WHAT YOU call a typical popular kid. I'm good-looking, social, and athletic, and also academically unparalleled. You might think, "How perfect he is," but you know what people say: no one is perfect. Many people envy me; they find every flaw I have and try to use it to destroy me. They thought that being an illegitimate child is my biggest secret, but they don't know it yet.

After school

NPC 4: See you next Monday, Hikaru.

NPC 5: Bye bye, Hikaru.

Hikaru: I have plenty of friends, but I can't tell them my secret.

*In a dimly lit apartment

Hikaru: I'm secretly an otaku.

Despite being an illegitimate child, my father sends me money, and I live alone.

Today I'm playing my favorite game, "Lucky Me."

Lucky Me is about an introvert guy who is a commoner but manages to enroll in a prestigious school. It's an RPG/dating sim game. It has 6 heroines that you can date: the battle-loving daughter of a duke, the student council president, the first princess, the shy elf princess, the childhood friend, and last but not least, the money-hungry daughter of the merchant guild. If you don't want romance, you can focus on training.

The only problem with this game is the dense protagonist; he's so socially awkward that it makes me angry every time he stutters. I know that everyone can't control a conversation, but how can he even be nervous around his childhood friend that he's known for ages?

After making a negative review, I was preparing to eat dinner when a reply came.

Ilovmilfs451945: If you are so angry, why don't you do it then?

Reading the comment makes me fired up.

HIKARU:"Hell, of course I can. Even if I became the arrogant fiancé of the princess, I could still bag all of the heroin by look and charm alone."

The moment I click send, a voice suddenly calls out to me and transports me to a cloudy-like dimension.

Hikaru: Wait, where am I? I was just playing a while ago.

Suddenly a man with a long white mustache called out to me.

Mysterious man: You're Hikaru, am I right?

Hikaru: Yes, I am him, but may I ask who you are?

Mysterious man: You seem calm. I thought you'd be more like, "Who are you? Where am I? Do you know who I am?" or something like that.

Hikaru: I get told often that I can adapt pretty quickly, so answer my question: who are you?

Mysterious man: I am God. Or precisely, I am the god of the game. Lucky me.

Hikaru: You know what? I'm too tired to be shocked; just go on and explain why you called out to me.

God: Boy, I want you to become the protagonist of my world.

Hikaru: What do you mean by that?

God: You know about the harem route, right? Where the protagonist manages to date all of the heroines at the same time, the last arc was the elf princess.

Hikaru: I know that I finish it after they get the elf lifespan; they live happily, and after it, it's a happy ending.

God: You're wrong. After the game, the protagonist succumbs to darkness, and with enough power, he destroys the world.

Hikaru: So you want me to stop him from becoming evil? Ok, I accept but with three conditions.

God: What is it?

Hikaru: 1st. I want to become the two-faced fiancé. We have the same personality. 2nd. Give me a system where it helps me 3rd: make me immune to poison. I don't want to be poisoned. Deal.

God: Deal.

And that's how I became the two-faced fiancé of the heroin princess.
