"Take away what they love the most and break them?" Xie Fang murmured.
He asked, "How will that help us get back the luck value?"
Xiao Ba explained, "The luck of a person does not depend entirely on his or her fate. It also depends on other people's impression towards them."
"You human work hard, but not all hardworking people become successful, do they? People have to rely on others or use other people to get what they want."
"So others impressions of you are one of the factors beside fate that increases people's luck value. The perfect example for this is you, yourself."
Xie Fang fell silent after hearing this. He thought this demigod's words made sense. "Ok, I understand. What about you? What will you do if I am the one who has to kill the intruders?"
Xiao Ba said hesitantly, "Of course my role is to protect you and help you kill the intruders." Xie Fang stare blankly at him for a while and said, "Ohh...".
His tone made Xiao Ba feel like he was being laughed at by a small kid and became angry.
He said in an angry voice, " What does a kid like you know, ha..? Those intruders are the most cunning of all the beings I have ever seen in my millions of years. "
"They can kill you in your sleep without you knowing! And now that they have gained the world's luck value, they have become more powerful."
"If a person has even a little bit of good impression towards them they will listen to those intruders' words blindly and make it hard for you."
Xie Fang knew Xiao Ba was angry. He lowered his head and apologized, "I'm sorry for looking down on you. I'll never do that again." Xie Fang had a guilty expression.
He looked like a well behaved kid but no one knew if he was really as well-behaved as he looked.
Seeing Xie Fang like this Xiao Ba couldn't continue being angry with him but he thought that he couldn't just let him go. 'What if he doesn't take me seriously in the future?'
Xiao Ba thought to himself and said, "Don't look down on me just because I have become a small ball of light, I still hold the power to destroy this universe. You, a small being, are nothing in front of my eyes."
"I have been tasked to kill those intruders so that I can unlock my full power but I can't kill them myself, or the other intruders will be alert and escape to different worlds which will only create more chaos," Xiao Ba continued in an irritated voice.
Xie Fang nodded hurriedly as if afraid of making him angry and got back to the main point, "So who are the intruders of this world?"
Xiao Ba said, "Not here, We will travel to other worlds first and come back here later. The intruder of this world is very powerful, we have to first get back your luck value that was stolen from you."
Xiao Ba continued, "Don't worry, after all this ends, I'll gain my full power and grant you one wish no matter what it is for helping me." He knew human are greedy creatures, they won't do things that don't benefit them.
Xie Fang didn't deny Xiao Ba's offer, he just nodded his head to indicate that he understood and asked. "I don't understand, you said that the intruders can suck luck from other people who have a good impression of them, but I don't think I have met anyone like that in my whole life."
Xie Fang had always felt something being sucked from inside of him, from a very young age, since he could remember.
He didn't have good impression of any people he met in his whole life due to his non socializing behaviour.
Xiao Ba said, "You have a very high amount of luck value..."
"As for why they can suck your luck value even though you don't have any good impression about them is because you are special."
Xiao Ba looked Xie Fang with complicated emotions in his eyes as if he had thousands of words to say, but when he opened his mouth, nothing came out.
For now he could only say, "You will understand when the time comes." Xie Fang nodded in understanding. He knew the saying not to get curious of the things that you can't handle consequence of.
Xiao Ba was satisfied with this sensible kid. He said, "Shall we get to work?" Xie Fang had no attachment to this world or people living here, so he nodded his head to indicate that he was ready.
Getting Xie Fang's affirmative answer Xiao Ba closed his eyes and chanted some unknown incantation; after a second Xie Fang felt pain all over his body.
Everything around him turned blurry and Xiao Ba's voice was the only thing echoing in his ears.
Xie Fang fell to the ground while holding his head. Blood was coming out of his nose and ears, he felt like something was sucking his soul out of his body.
Xie Fang lost his consciousness and when he opened his eyes; he saw his own body lying on the ground; seeing such a scene, he felt kind of weird.
He looked around and everything was same as before, the only difference was his lying body on the ground.
Xie Fang looked at Xiao Ba who had opened his eyes and was now looking at him. He asked with confusion in his face, "What did you do to me?"
Xiao Ba answer in a normal voice, "As I said before, I'll put your soul into another person's body who is close to the intruder. So I separate your soul from your body."
Xiao Ba thought about something and continued, "Don't worry. I'll keep your body in my space. I'll keep it safely and give it back to you when we come back in this world."
Xie Fang was hesitant to let someone unknown keep his body but there no better solution for now so he had to agree.
After separating Xie Fang's soul, Xiao Ba handed him his blood to drink and make their contract effective.
After establishing contract successfully, Xiao Ba opened a portal to the first world they were going to travel.
"Let's go to our first world!" Xiao Ba shouted in excitement.
