I sat quietly, and carefully listened as the rogue's walked out until I couldn't hear his footsteps any longer. When I was sure he was gone, I took a deep breath and tried to test the rope around my wrists. The ropes were rough and it bruised my skin, but I twisted my wrists as I looked for a way to lose myself but there was nothing as they had tied me too tightly, making it difficult and impossible to free myself.
I gritted my teeth in frustration and forced myself to focus. I needed to escape, and I needed to do it as quickly as possible. Mason was out there, and I had no idea what had happened to him. I refused to believe he was dead because was too strong for that and that was why they had used that strange powder on him because they knew that they couldn't tackle him on their own.
