Chapter 11 - The Devil’s Possession

Girls screamed in excitement.

Except Selene and Nia, who looked… completely unaffected.

Gavin stood and asked,

"Sir, why would such a big businessman teach us?"

Before the Principal could answer, a cold voice echoed:

"Because it was my mother's wish."

Daniel walked inside.

"There are many students in this world who can't afford quality education.

And I will fulfill my mother's dream… at any cost."

The entire class clapped.

The Principal smiled and left.

Now it was just Daniel and the students.

"Any more questions?" he asked.

A soft voice came from the door.

"May I come in, sir?"

Everyone turned.

Mia stood at the door.

"Come in," Daniel said in a cold tone.

As she walked, her foot slipped—

and Daniel caught her before she could fall.

All eyes widened.

But in the last row…

Selene smirked.

And she started singing under her breath:

"Aaj rapat jaaye toh hum na uthayyo…"

Mia blushed red.

Daniel's eyes turned furious. 😡😡😡

"Stand up," he ordered Selene.

She shot up instantly, scared.

"When the class ends, meet me in my office.

And till I'm teaching… you will remain STANDING."

His voice was ice.

The entire class went silent.

Selene whispered to herself:

"What did I even do? They were having a romantic moment… I just added background music!"

*Bh..

…kindness ka zamana hi nahi raha… neither in movies nor in real life!* 🤨

But the real question is…

What is Daniel going to do with Selene?

CLASSROOM ::

Selene was standing at her spot, making weird twisted faces out of boredom.

Daniel had been watching her from the corner of his eye for a while now.

The way she kept pouting and making crooked expressions…

a rare, soft smile appeared on Daniel's face — something no one ever got to see.

While reading from the textbook, Daniel glanced at all the students and said,

"So, what do we need to become a successful businessman? Anyone?"

One student immediately stood up.

"Sir, money. Only money can help us start a business."

Another one jumped in, "Sir, courage. Without courage, nothing happens."

Everyone kept giving their own suggestions but none of them made sense.

Daniel finally said,

"Miss Selene, what do you think?"

Selene sighed dramatically.

"If I answer… will you let me sit?

My legs are hurting so much from standing like this." 🥺

Daniel raised one eyebrow. 🤨

"You haven't even been standing for ten minutes, and your legs are hurting already?"

Selene muttered in her mind,

"In stories I read, the hero is always a cold-hearted jerk.

And look at this devil… full khadoos."

She huffed again.

"Why do all romance heroes have only two settings — mafia and khadoos?

At least they're handsome…

God, why did You put me in a villain's body instead of a heroine?!"

Her eyes shifted to Mia, who was staring at Daniel like he was some Greek god.

Selene rolled her eyes internally.

"Look at her… how she's staring!

Haye haye, kya scene chal raha hai."

Everyone was staring at Selene now.

Realizing she'd been caught mumbling, she looked up and flashed a wide smile —

😁😁😁😁😁

"Hehehe…

Her strange behavior made everyone smile unwillingly.

Garv (Garv stays Garv since you didn't change him) whispered,

"Nisha, what's wrong with my little sister today?

She's acting so weird.

This can't be my Selene."

(And he wasn't wrong… 💯)

Soon the bell rang.

Daniel shot one last look at Selene before walking out.

Students started leaving too.

Nisha came up to her.

"Selene, what is wrong with you today?"

Garv added,

"Yeah, kiddo. Some new trick to make Daniel notice you?"

Nisha warned,

"I told you, stop chasing Daniel.

He doesn't love you. He's not right for you."

Selene folded her arms.

"Who told you I love Daniel?

Yes, I used to follow him around earlier…

but my self-respect is more important now.

Even if he comes after me now, I won't look at him." 😒😒😒

Nisha squinted.

"You're telling the truth?"

Selene nodded quickly.

"Of course! Anyway… I'm going to see that devil.

Let's find out what punishment he has planned.

You two wait in the cafeteria. I'll go and come back—whoosh, fast." ☺️

Selene left.

Garv sighed,

"I hope she's telling the truth this time."

Both headed to the cafeteria.
