Chapter 1 - عائلتي

In a quiet room, filled with a mother's heartbeat and her breath, life unfolds for her little one. His tiny body trembles, his newly opened eyes searching for light and shadow, his soft yet powerful cries filling the room as if he were discovering this world for the first time. His innocence is tinged with mystery.

Looking at his mother, her eyes brimming with wonder and love, she smiles. "Hello, little one..." His voice, a whisper from the universe, fills her heart with indescribable warmth. Despite her exhaustion, she reaches out to hold him.

"Sydandyk Leon... my little one," she whispers, then kisses Lionel. "Mwah."

As the days pass, the infant begins to respond to the sounds around him. Every whisper, every touch, contributes to his little heart. He doesn't yet know that he is about to begin the great axis events, that his heart will hold special experiences that will teach him about the world, about love, about everyone, and about strength.

"Slap!" A blank page on my face, then a red mark burning with excruciating pain.

"Get out! I don't have a son as worthless as you!"

The man roared. A long life of alcoholism and injustice, with jealous eyes, a prominent jaw, and a withered face. With his tattered clothes that looked as if they hadn't been changed in ages, he looked like a worthless monster.

This man was my father, Chu Wen. Since his divorce from my mother three years ago, he had died from his injuries and had spent the last few weeks living around her every day.

"Fine, he's gone! I don't want to see you again!"

I covered my burning cheek, tears streaming down my face. He didn't want to see me cry, so I turned and went straight to gather my things. Actually, I didn't have much to pack—just some books, textbooks, a cup of tea, and a few school supplies. I finished quickly, packing two bags before leaving.

The living room was infested with flies, God knows how many. If I hadn't cleaned it, the house would have remained in that state forever. I was constantly disgusted by that tiny, filthy room, and I didn't stay another minute. I closed the college door and left.

Meanwhile, the important one was hurrying along, still pacing around, without even glancing at me.

"Bang!" The iron door of the room slammed shut. I descended the stairs with long strides, tears still aching in my eyes.

I remembered the good old days when I had a happy family: a refined and cultured father, a virtuous and noble mother, a spacious and luxurious house, and an abundance of food and clothing. In just a few years, we hope, it had come to this. In my heart, I felt nothing but resentment towards everything.

My name is Leon Wen, I'm 11 years old, and I'm in middle school. I'm a child known for my beauty, as my eyes are unique. I don't know why, but they're a blend of all colors, which gives me extraordinary beauty. My silky blond hair makes everyone who looks at me admire me.

My family has been involved in specialized business for generations and enjoys a prestigious local reputation. From my grandfather's generation, we became a wealthy family with assets exceeding one hundred million dollars, making us one of the top four business families in Jingzhou.

However, this exceptional upbringing instilled in my father, Chu Wen, his stubbornness and rebelliousness. As the only son, he received his grandfather's attention from a young age. He was raised to be a wise and cultured young man, well-read and intelligent. After integrating into society, thanks to the family's resources and connections that his grandfather's generation possessed, he became unique in his rapid impact, and the family business grew even more.

Gu's parents were the second sons of the departing family, one of the four elders of the family in Jingzhou. They had long relied on their own efforts, and their abilities grew rapidly and prosperously. They were skilled businessmen.

Moreover, my father, in his youth, was a water-drinking man. She was renowned for her beauty in Jingzhou, attracting a stream of suitors from both philosophical and commercial circles, yet none of them caught her eye.

At a business banquet, he met my beautiful mother and was utterly captivated by her, as if he had beheld a goddess. He pursued her relentlessly. My father was humble in his family business dealings but adept at courting women. His numerous romantic gestures ultimately won him over my mother. Meanwhile, given the flourishing business of the Chu family and the fact that he was the sole heir, it seemed that a family union would be most beneficial to their business. Therefore, both parents encouraged my father and mother to marry.

After my birth and their marriage, my mother joined the Chu family business. She was successful in the business, and the company prospered. However, this changed my father's narrow-minded disapproval.

Because he was the only son born, he was a strong male child and couldn't accept a woman being more successful. As a result, his marital relationships began to falter.

After my birth, my mother resolutely abandoned her career to focus on her roles as a mother and a full-time, wealthy housewife. The couple's relationship deepened. My childhood was filled with adventure.

A few years later, when I was about ten years old, my grandfather passed away from a serious illness. My father took over the entire family business, becoming the youngest head of the family in Jingzhou, enjoying a period of prestige and social standing.

But in reality, his previous business success had largely compensated for the lack of connections and experience he had gained. His abilities weren't sufficient when it came to shouldering responsibilities. Moreover, our family's main business was the new shopping malls, which were of great importance.
