Saphen and Thora returned to the shop before heading home.
Saphen couldn't help watching the expensive car as it drove away in the distance, an uneasy feeling settling in his chest. It only grew stronger after the other employees mentioned that Cain had left shortly after speaking with an elderly couple.
Saphen looked visibly worried, while Thora merely frowned, remaining silent.
Since Cain wasn't at the café, neither of them stayed long before heading straight home.
Thora was about to go inside, but when he saw Saphen's retreating figure, he couldn't help calling out, "Saphen, whatever happens, don't put too much pressure on yourself."
Saphen stopped in his tracks. Turning back to look at Thora, surprise was written all over his face.
"Why would you say that, Thora?"
Thora smiled faintly. "It's nothing. Go home and get some rest."
