Her eyes widened when she heard what Flint was planning. She had just resigned and told Jefferson the news, but now she was facing a bigger problem. She felt Flint was rushing to marry her even though they weren't even officially dating yet. What was Flint's real purpose in rushing to marry her? Was it to save her from a cruel CEO? Jefferson wasn't a cruel CEO in her eyes anymore. It was evident that when he handed in his resignation letter, Jefferson still cared about her.
"You want to introduce me to your family so soon?" she asked softly.
"Even though you've known them since we were kids, I want to introduce you differently. I want to introduce you as my fiancé, not as a friend anymore," Flint replied, driving his sedan with focus.
"But-"
"Could it be that you're still not ready?"
Her head nodded.
Flint laughed awkwardly, patting his fiancée's head. "You don't have to be nervous in front of them. My parents will accept you as a good daughter-in-law now."
