CHAPTER 15
"Let's welcome two contestants!" a massive ball was spun. The crowd grew quiet, the adrenaline of being chosen filled the air.
Thalia, Ravi, Cheng, Dao, Kai. Multiple names were seen on the big screen, the name stopped rolling.
Adrenaline. everywhere.
"Kai, Cheng and Kamon, Hong! Please step towards the arena!!"
The crowd bounced with excitement, screams spread across the whole kingdom.
Kai stepped towards the arena, his eyes sunk darkly, masking his tiredness. His hand moved around his water shaped headphones that covered his ears. Next to him Cheng kept yapping non stop about their plans
"Let's end this already. I'm tired" he yawned
"this is so nerve- wracking!!" Cheng's voice wobbled.
"I'm fighting you two? This should be easy" Kamon mocked
"both contestants! You may begin!" the voice blasted.
Kamon attacked first, his hands glowed with mist green hue. "Flower magic, poison ivy!" he chants. A bouquet filled with poison ivy hopped all around the area. "Don't worry, you'll get your sleep.
Kai coughed. "Poison ivy? This is such a pain "Kai pulled out a puddle full of water into his hands. He formed the water into multiple water icicles, aiming it at Kamon.
"Aw cute! Icicles!" Kamon mocked.
Kamon jumped back. Chanting another spell "towering sunflower!" In a blink of an eye a big sunflower pulled Kamon towards the clouds "those things can't touch me, those poison ivy will drain your core soon enough.
"Creation water magic, the spell Ravi taught me" Nerina thought.
"Hey another fellow plant user!" Ravi gleamed.
"Urgh." Kai groaned "pussy, you're hiding not fighting." Kai fired the water icicles towards Kamon.
"says the guy who's using weak magic, aw or maybe the poison ivy is affecting you- just admit it!" Kamon cocked his head to the side.
"I'll end this, I'm tired and I just want to sleep" Kai sat on the floor
"What is he doing!?" the crowd echoed
"You're right. I'll end this too. Whispering wisteria." Kamon said finally, as wild wisterias bloomed at Kai's direction
"You forgot I'm a water user. I can just do this." Kai smirked.
The mood switched. Water from all the plants slowly leaves each plant like little pearls. The water slowly but carefully surrounded him.
The water particles made two rings, one appeared for defense and offense. The first ring, which connected to his stomach seemed to be tight tightly around him whilst the second ring became bigger with every drop.
"my beloved flowers! How dare you!" Kamon growled, "try draining this plant!" he said, popping out the cactus.
"Don't worry, I have enough water." he said, shooting the water into the sky "Water iceberg!" kai chant as a massive iceberg landed on Kamon.
"ack!- "Kamon reacted, his body turning limp.
The iceberg was big enough to knock him unconscious
"Kamon you idiot! I told you to stick with the plan!" Hong groaned before chanting a spell. "fine I'll take care of hi- "
"-did you forget about me?" Cheng appeared behind Hong. "Earth Magic- cave!"
The arena field shook as rocks stuck to Hong like magnets.
"Close!" Cheng commanded as the rocks moved closer to Kamon.
Kamon screamed as the rocks moved faster towards him. "fine! I give up! I surrender!" he surrendered.
The crowd went silent.
"woah" Nerina observed
The crowd exploded in applause
"What a performance" the voice echoed again. "Kai was absolutely shocked! Now what rank will he enter!?"
"Kai, his core magic level has exceeded beyond rank two limit" Xiang spoke softly "he shall be put in rank one with me." Her voice smooth like a calm lake
"Whoa, Kamon is mega strong! He'll be in my rank!" Kasem gleamed.
"They both put on a good fight! But the winner is Kai and Cheng!" the voice continued
"I'm out of here, bye" Kai dragged his legs out of the arena.
"hey! Wait for me!" Cheng shrieked.
"well okay! Next up is!" the voice exaggerated as the crowd hopped excitedly.
"Yuan and Qian with Haru and Izumi!" the voice declared.
