"The Mirror of Erised?"
Ollivander pondered for a moment after hearing the name.
"That is indeed an alchemical object possessing magical power. However, I must remind you of one thing—the Mirror of Erised shows the deepest, most desperate desires of your heart, but the answer the mirror provides is conjured based on your own thoughts. Although in most cases, the contents within the mirror are quite realistic."
"For instance, you might see relatives you have never met, or scenes of places you have never visited. You can even... see the past or the future."
"But not everything shown is real. It is not an omnipotent prophecy mirror; it is merely a tool to satisfy your inner cravings. It possesses powerful and wondrous magic, but it is not all-powerful."
"The Mirror can reveal many secrets to you, but hidden within are lies that the observer cannot easily see through. This is the truth of why the Mirror of Erised fascinates people, causing them to lose their minds and become ensnared by its deception."
"What you see with your own eyes isn't necessarily real."
Ollivander's warning was sincere and earnest; naturally, Lynn would not turn a deaf ear to it.
"Thank you for the reminder. However, since the Mirror of Erised offered a possibility, trying it out shouldn't be a problem. Even if it ultimately fails, perhaps we can gain some new inspiration from the experiment."
"Isn't the endless, unknown mystery exactly what makes magic so attractive?"
"Yes, yes indeed!"
Ollivander spoke cheerfully. "Even with wands, the wands used by wizards all over the world are different. Their design principles vary completely. aside from the combination of wand woods and magical creature cores, magical gemstones are also materials that many wizards choose when crafting wands."

After being popular for a while, these luxurious wands were gradually phased out. Even if people today inlay gems into their wands, they use ordinary gems, not magical ones."
"Differences in spellcasting systems have created different schools of magic among wizards worldwide. As the medium for casting, wands naturally developed a variety of styles and attributes. Your idea is very good; I do not object to you conducting such interesting research."

"To break free from my current stiff, inefficient state of casting. I want Rune magic to possess the same high degree of freedom as standard spellcasting, able to change according to my will."
"I need a special wand exclusive to me. Since my talent for casting is hard to change, then I shall change the tool."
Lynn drew his ash wand, then tapped it lightly on the table. A rectangular block of wood placed on the table instantly changed its shape.
Even in the dimly lit shop, the silver-white metallic color reflected a sharp glint of white light. The complex engravings upon it were incomparably exquisite; Lynn had created a one-to-one replica of the image he had seen in the Mirror of Erised.
"An exquisite work of art."
Ollivander nodded slightly, then reached out and picked up the silver-engraved Colt M1873 revolver.
"It is a pity that the patterns on it have no meaning." He glanced at it a few times and shook his head gently. "If this is what you saw in the Mirror of Erised, I can only say—as a collectible, it is qualified, but as an alchemical tool, it is less useful than a mere ornament."
"This is the lie the Mirror of Erised showed you."
"I know." Lynn nodded. "But it represents a new possibility, doesn't it?"
"Has anyone in the magical world ever tried using Muggle weapons?"
"Of course."
Ollivander nodded. "Muggle gunpowder guns and cannons... wizards have actually used them. When I was in school, using pistols for dueling was once quite popular. After all, one only needs an Impediment Jinx, and the thing loses any ability to harm a wizard."
"The Shield Charm also has excellent resistance against such toys. As for magical creatures... I recall an incident occurring maybe ten or so years ago. A wizard illegally raised a Common Welsh Green Dragon. Due to his negligence, the dragon appeared in a Muggle city and went on a rampage. The Muggle armies attacked it with weapons, but they only managed to knock off a few scales. The innate magic of the dragon ignored all Muggle attacks, an ability possessed by most magical creatures."
"Only magic can defeat magic. Back when wizards were driven out and persecuted by Muggles, it was because the Muggle church brainwashed and controlled the exposed 'wizard seeds'—children with magical potential—and trained them into extremely dangerous Witch Hunters. These Witch Hunters could enter an irreversible berserk state at any time—transforming into Obscurials. Ordinary wizards found it difficult to resist their attacks, and these Witch Hunters had a keen perception of magic."
"It was just like the burning of witches in the Middle Ages. Without the interference of magical power, as long as a wizard does not wish it, Muggles have no chance of truly threatening a wizard's life. Apparition, after all, does not require a wand."
In Ollivander's perception, Muggle weapons could threaten life, but as long as a wizard was slightly prepared, there was no essential difference between these weapons and toys. A single Muggle-Repelling Charm could instantly scatter a Muggle army.
