Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Welcome to Dora-B-mon Future Technology Co., Ltd.

"Let me state upfront: I don't know how to do business."

After sitting down in front of the fireplace in the Room of Requirement, Lynn spoke seriously to the twins.

"However, I can provide some ideas that might be interesting and achievable. You two help me evaluate them and see if they have any commercial value."

"You two have good heads on your shoulders, and you like to dive into these sorts of things. I trust your judgment."

"Finally, someone with an eye for talent." Fred flashed a brilliant grin, nodding without hesitation, while George gave a thumbs-up. "Actually, when Charlie invested in us, he was already prepared for the money to be lost completely—but how could we let him get away with thinking that!"

"Let's hear it, Lynn. Show us your great idea."

Under the twins' gaze, an old Wizard's Chess set flew over from a desk on the side.

"You plan to improve Wizard's Chess?" Fred raised an eyebrow slightly.

"You could say that." Lynn poked a chess piece with his wand. "This is a variant of the game. I'd like to call it—"

"Don't touch me if you aren't playing!" The King, having been poked in the head by Lynn's wand, spoke up aggressively. "You filthy &!@#¥% (% ¥..."

"Hahaha!" Seeing Lynn look a bit dumbfounded after being interrupted by the chess piece, the twins burst into laughter. " The owner of this set must have been a foul-mouthed king of insults. If you like to curse and swear while playing, the pieces get like that after a while."

"Though new pieces talk a lot too, especially when you aren't very skilled—they'll try to teach you how to play."

"But what if the pieces actually moved on their own?"

Lynn gave the foul-mouthed King a flick to the head, sending it flying instantly into the corner of the room.

"But not for trash talk—for combat."

"I call it: Auto Chess."

Lynn waved his wand, and the remaining pieces on the table began to transfigure. He was already very skilled at transfiguring small objects, and he could even show off a few tricks.

The remaining pieces on the board were divided into two teams. Both sides consisted of two swordsmen, a knight, and an archer, but their formations were different. When the battle began, the knight on the left, having a proper angle to charge, dove directly into the backline. He sliced through the archer like butter, breaking the balance of the originally evenly matched fight, and secured the victory.

"This is a mode suitable for multiple friends to play together, specifically the 'Auto Chess' mode where you arrange your troops. Every little figure has its own unique skills and different attack patterns, plus an equipment system to strengthen the pieces..."

Lynn copied a golden spatula directly over, though he turned it into a magical version of a physical game piece. The rules weren't complicated; the twins understood them as soon as they heard them.

"Economic management, pre-battle strategy, tactical gambling—these are the core selling points of Auto Chess."

"Low barrier to entry, but a huge ceiling for operational skill improvement. Compared to Wizard's Chess, the entertainment value is much higher."

"What about the design of the pieces?" The twins asked a crucial question after listening to Lynn's introduction to the gameplay and rules.

"That isn't hard to solve." Lynn pulled a Chocolate Frog box from his pocket, then took out the card inside.

"It won't just be these famous wizards—"

Dumbledore's card was placed on the table. "I also plan to include magical creatures and characters from myths and legends."

"But Auto Chess is only one part. These pieces can also be used in a different game mode."

"I use Dumbledore to activate Fire God Clears the Way, dealing 777 damage to you."

Lynn reached out and pushed the Dumbledore card forward. The twins immediately started shouting with exaggerated flair.

"Hot, hot, hot! What powerful fire!"

The two goofballs' pantomime was a bit over the top, but in that moment, they understood what Lynn was trying to convey.

"Card battles?"

"Smart."

Dealing with the twins, who caught on instantly, saved Lynn a lot of energy.

"We can use a bit of magic to project virtual images when the cards are played. I'm not very good at charms, though, so I'll need you two to put in some effort there. Once you've designed the spells, I can figure out a way to transcribe the spells into runes and print them on the cards for mass production."

"Character cards, equipment cards, spell cards, trap cards, field cards... the combination of cards with different functions can make the matches incredibly exciting, beyond your imagination."

"You are simply a genius!"

Having already visualized the two "games" in their minds, the twins immediately realized how popular the things Lynn told them about would be once launched. There weren't many entertainment options in the wizarding world—at least not in England. The old-fashioned Wizard's Chess would have almost no power to fight back against Auto Chess and card games.

"We can already see the future where Galleons fall like rain, smashing bumps all over our heads!"

"Your idea is very doable."

"But the difficulty is also quite high. At least right now, we have no guarantee we can turn your ideas into reality. We can't even figure out exactly what magic would be needed for this."

The twins also realized how insufficient their accumulated knowledge was at the moment. Trying to turn the images in their minds into reality would indeed be very difficult.

"Then why not go ask a professor? I suspect Professor Flitwick might be interested in these things. Compared to Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick is much more childlike at heart."

"So, shall we start with the card duels? Compared to the physical pieces for Auto Chess, magical projection is much simpler. We can manage a little bit of that right now."

Fred drew his wand and gave it a wave. A string of sparks sprayed from the tip, and the flames formed the shape of his head, though it was a bit blurry and you could only see the general outline.

"So, our task for the current stage is: collect information for the cards we want to make—wizards, magical creatures, legendary characters. Finish the character designs first, then go ask Professor Flitwick how to implement our requirements."

Fred and George looked at each other, then grinned. "This is going to be fun!"

"I can be responsible for collecting information on magical creatures and figures from myths and legends. I've read quite a lot of material on that recently."

Lynn didn't intend to let the twins do all the work; that would be too slow.

"Leave the famous wizards to us. Since we aren't going home this Christmas—Mom and Dad are going to Romania to see Charlie—we can use the time to properly search the library."

"So, now."

Lynn stood up and extended his hand. "Welcome to the Game and Entertainment Department of Dora-B-mon Future Technology Co., Ltd."

"What is that?"

Fred and George laughed, then mimicked the gesture, shaking Lynn's hand solemnly.

"Since we want to make big money, we can't be a ragtag team forever. The major shareholder is Harley; she provides the money, we provide the labor. Anyway—the dividends won't be small when the time comes."

"With Harley here, both Snape and Professor Dumbledore can endorse us. Even if it gets really big later on, no blind fools will come looking for trouble."

"Merlin bless us! May Harley remain forever young, pretty, and possess both wisdom and beauty!"

The twins, having processed this, raised their hands high and cheered. Now they felt reassured; with backing to guarantee their safety, the business could be conducted steadily.
