The gargoyle wastes no time in contacting the elder that they had found one of the Lycans and that it was currently contracted with Great Eden. The Elder got angry and said, "find out how she managed to contract the Lycan!" Then the Elder hit the table in front of him with a fist. He had a board of chess that vibrated at the impact. Pieces fell off it, but a few remained, among them, the knights, queen and king. The Elder picked up the queen piece and spoke to it. "You defy the laws of this realm, but you are receiving help." He said to it and then tossed the piece at the board. The queen piece bounced a few times before landing at an angle leaning on the king. The Elder scrunched his nose and said in disgust, "I see that even in my chess board you are letting me know that the king is supporting her." He left his room, leaving the game pieces all over the place.
Callan received the message from the gargoyle that they both need to find out how Eden got the Lycan to sign a contract. The gargoyle said, "Perhaps you can get one to work for you; they are magical beings." Callan scowled, "how do I know you won't suck the life out of it?" The gargoyle replied, "I cannot hurt your own people, unless these shackles are broken free." He raised his hands and showed them while also pointing at the collar on his neck. Callan nodded as he thought about it. He could benefit from having a strong creature in his army. That would give him a power boost. "It seems like we got ourselves a deal," he said as he smiled sinisterly.
In a different realm the female Elder was breaking everything in her planning room. It was where she drafted meticulous schemes to have things go her way. "Stupid! That stupid pawn. Worthless piece of shit! All that grooming so she could be used for another Elder! I was so close, she could've been the ruler of men. These humans and their stupid feelings. Ahh!" She kept tossing items around for a few more minutes until she was satisfied with the destruction. Piles of files and pictures were on the ground. In one of the pictures she saw a female with red lipstick and pearls. Then next to her photo was a man with long hair, a serious face and muscular. She picked up both of the pictures and smiled. Then said to herself, "There is opportunity in chaos. This one will serve as a replacement and this one will be the turning point." She cackled as she began to put together a new plan on her wall. Pinning pictures and making likes. Writing notes next to each picture. Adding photos of their guides and their desires so that she could control them. She laughed out loud as her new plan was coming together. Then she sat down on a large throne-like chair and grabbed a bottle that was on the ground. She conjured a goblet and poured the red liquid into her cup. She examined her new creation and looked at the web that entangled them all. There was one picture she left without notes, it was Eden's. The Elder scowled and said, "you're only free to move because of that inconvenience in our realm. I shouldn't have left that option there when I noticed it. I was planning to save the program for the human realm launch, but now I see it was a mistake. I still don't know how it got in there." She finished her drink and threw the goblet at Eden's picture.
Eden was on her way back to her castle, annoyed at how things escalated. She was pondering on how she would do damage control. Whether or not it was even with the energy to defend herself over that. She let out a long breath and came to a decision to let it be. She did feel bad that her private actions were exposed for everyone to see. However, she couldn't allow such disrespect go unpunished. Worse in front of everyone that had a prominent reputation and their name carried weight. It would set the precedence of how she would be treated. She needed to show no one would get away from her bite if they came looking for a fight. At least she was able to defend herself vocally.
Sylvie was watching Eden quietly until she noticed her come to a relaxed posture. She then asked Eden, "do you do this all the time?" Eden looked at her with her eyebrows up. Sylvie continued to say, "when you think, your face is playing out your entire conversation. It's distracting and entertaining to watch." Eden gave her the resting bitch face look and it made Sylvie laugh. "That's it! That's the look," she said as she held her stomach. Eden then relaxed "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, I thought the mixer was a bit boring." Then she too began to chuckle.
"Joking aside, I can't help myself make faces when I think. Sometimes I am so mad that I don't have to say anything to communicate it. That is the only upside to it, but you can guess how it may not be wise that others can see right through you. I'm working on it. I'm sorry we had to leave so soon," said Eden as she looked out of the window to see how long before they got back to the castle. Sylvie took a deep breath and exhaled, then she said "I'm actually glad that we left. I was going to fight that gargoyle. It killed my cousin and I was close to losing my composure." Eden stared at her for a few more seconds, then said, "I admire that you kept you composure and you still have the strength to talk about it. I would have rushed into battle to take that gargoyle life with my own hands." Sylvie gave Eden a slight smirk as she thought, we aren't so different after all.
A few days went by and Eden was expecting for someone to be brave and ask her questions, but to her surprise no one asked. She smiled at herself and kept focusing on developing her skills and upgrading what she can. She also held a few classes in the community town for others who wanted to learn to PVP. This way she could attract more members or at least help someone in the process. On her way home she saw a few dragons flying around with others. Arthurs got close to her and said, "They are the dragons that protect the city, gifted to each monarch." Eden then said, "It's time to pay my own dragon a visit."
