Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 - God wears a grey suit

Good sat in a dusty looking place that was like a giant library filled with books and magical amulets decorated the shelves.

A ray of light shone through a circular window and onto the book he had been reading. He held the book with one hand and wrote notes in another book with the next.

He was waiting for God to come and speak to him , but God had been running late again.

" Live like there's no evil , Good and I'm sure you'll meet your ruin." God's voice came from in front of him , naturally soothing and calm.

God looked like a business man and he wore a grey suit.

Good looked up quickly and shut his book.

" God , you know that I would NEVER question you , but -" The blessed spirit started but God interrupted his sentence.

" But what ? The only reason you aren't suffering is because you are my favorite spirit. Don't let me change my mind." God said his voice was soothing but became loud like thunder on a stormy day.

" There was an unnamed spirit at the Great Gate a couple of days ago and she wanted a name. She seemed very sad. I was wondering if you could give her one." Good suggested and God frowned.

" Good , my dear boy. " God said seriously fixing his tie and his suit.

" Nameless is the same as useless. You know why she doesn't have a name. "

" Yes , God. I understand but even if she's useless. I think you should still give her one." Good said then he got up , kneeled on the floor and bowed before God.

" You won't convince me to do such foolishness. I am God and I don't make mistakes , but you are talking like you believe I do. Those two hearts do they only pity the nameless ? Don't you pity your God as well ?"

" Yes God. I feel for you. You don't make mistakes." Good said, still bowing at God's feet.

" Then act like it. If I say the truth is a lie then it is. If I say night is day. It is so. If I say you are as good as dead then you will be. Time waits for no man but it will always be sitting pretty fighting boredom and still waiting for me." God said then he walked away from Good.

The heels of his shoes , tapping on the floor was the only thing that bothered to tell Good , goodbye when God left.

The sky darkened and Good went back to his seat , he opened his book that had the words : How to Kill the Devil and and he just kept writing his notes.

God had given Good the task of killing the Devil before the Festival of Freedom in Whenever Land and Good had no intention of disappointing God.
