Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Legend Descends

Using Geppo, Garp stood suspended in mid-air as his right fist shot forward like an eagle tearing across the sky.

The raw, raging force of his punch poured down like a celestial river collapsing from the heavens.

A colossal fist, large enough to rival an entire Hokage Rock, shone with blinding white red light.

Divine, sacred, terrifying. Like a descending meteor, it crashed onto the battlefield with unstoppable fury.

Under countless awestruck gazes, a thunderous boom, louder than any lightning strike, and a shockwave fierce enough to rival a missile explosion erupted outward.

Smoke blasted toward the skies. Waves of force swept across the lake for several miles, shaking the Land of Water so violently it felt as if the entire country had quaked.

At the same time, under the pressure of the overwhelming shockwave, the once-gentle water roared upward, rising from the ground like a lifted sea.

Without even being near an ocean, towering waves surged again and again, unable to settle for a long time.

"This… that's the real, Galaxy Impact!"

Back in the Land of Earth, Orochimaru and Tsunade had once witnessed Garp lift a mountain and crush hundreds of Iwa-nin along with the Tsuchikage's son.

Now, staring at the blinding white fist's impact point, they could only stand frozen.

"No wonder the shinobi and samurai of the past era called Lord Garp the Iron Fist."

Although Kushina, Shisui, and the other Konoha shinobi had never personally seen Garp lift a mountain, that didn't lessen the shock tearing through their hearts.

This single punch, a world-shaking blow, was enough to leave their souls trembling.

"So this is… the fist that once shattered the full-bodied complete Susanoo."

As the smoke cleared and the waves slowly calmed, a massive crater appeared on the battlefield, like a heavenly pit carved by the gods.

Fugaku's Mangekyo Sharingan glowed red, filled with awe and disbelief.

The Uchiha clan revered power, craved it.

And Garp's punch had defined absolute power with perfect clarity.

Even with the countless grudges between the Uchiha and the Iron Fist, Fugaku still couldn't help but feel reverence.

After all, this was the very fist that had shattered Uchiha divine might.

….

Just as every shinobi was still shaken to the core, footsteps echoed from above.

Everyone strained to lift their gaze from the enormous crater.

Under their stunned, almost ghost-struck stares, Garp walked down from the sky, each step falling onto the air itself, as if he were descending a staircase.

"I finally got to see it… the legendary Geppo, one of the superhuman Rokushiki!"

Orochimaru stared fixedly at the descending figure, his snake eyes filled with shock and confusion.

It made no sense.

No chakra. No ninjutsu. Yet he could walk in the sky?

His worldview had already been shattered countless times since he began collecting information about Garp.

Garp's martial arts didn't follow any rule the shinobi world understood.

Take the Rokushiki, for example, Shigan, Soru, and Tekkai still barely fit within the "laws" of chakra.

But Tempest Kick, Geppo, and the fabled Kami-e… those were outright violations of the chakra system.

Who could walk through the air with only leg strength?

Who could launch a slicing attack rivaling a Storm Release jutsu using nothing but a kick?

"Did Grandpa really… fight uncle Garp?"

Tsunade stared at Garp's back as an involuntary thought surfaced.

Just how did her grandfather survive through the chaos of the Warring States, live long enough to reach the village era, and even establish Konoha?

It was impossible to imagine that the goofy, simple-minded grandfather she remembered had once fought Garp… and had even suppressed Madara, earning the title of Second among the Three Legends of that era, second only to Garp himself.

If not for the fact that the legendary battles of Hashirama were recorded across countless clans and passed down since the different eras.

She might suspect her grandfather's feats were as inflated as Hiruzen's "strongest Hokage in history."

"It really is Byakuren's handiwork…"

Garp ignored the countless reverent gazes around him and walked straight toward the burial site of the three swordsmen.

He had felt this kind of worship countless times during the old era.

He wasn't interested in admiration.

What interested him were the Seven Ninja Swords, which had suddenly undergone a complete transformation, almost like a form of Tailed Beastification.

"I didn't think you'd still be able to amuse me, even after being dead for so many years."

Garp picked up the shattered sword and examined it carefully.

Even though it had been blown apart into several pieces by his punch, his Observation Haki could still sense Byakuren's chakra lingering within it.

"Lord Garp, it seems these Seven Ninja Swords mean a great deal to you.

Although the Seven Ninja Swordsmen were indeed powerful moments ago, it's clear they were only drawing on the chakra sealed within the swords.

That kind of power-up is temporary, and preparing for it must take an extremely long time.

Use it once… and it would take years, perhaps more than a decade, to accumulate that much chakra again."

Orochimaru's voice sounded from behind him.
