Ana's POV
I watched as Hunter grabbed the kidnapper's arm and hurled him to the pavement with a brutal shoulder throw.
The man shrieked in agony, spitting out profanities, but when he realized he was losing, he scrambled to escape.
I saw Hunter slam him back down with ruthless efficiency.
He shot a look at the shop employees who'd wandered out to gawk at the chaos. "Get over here and help me! You're all grown men—what's with the cowardice?"
At Hunter's barked command, the spectators quit recording and rushed over to pin the guy down while we waited for the police.
Now all we could do was sit tight until the cops arrived.
Right then, I focused on soothing the terrified little girl.
"Listen, my shop's right next door. Want to come inside and catch your breath?" I kept my voice soft and reassuring.
The little girl bobbed her head in agreement.
I smiled and guided her through the door.
