Ana's POV
The family dinner took place at Chad's residence.
The estate was magnificent—an old-world villa sprawling behind wrought iron gates. A lengthy concrete drive curved toward the house, bordered by perfectly trimmed lawns stretching wide on either side.
When Ridley and I pulled up, luxury vehicles already crowded the parking area beside the grass.
Ridley climbed out and yanked me close by the waist, dismissing my resistance entirely.
"Keep your mouth shut tonight," he hissed near my ear. "Don't make me look like a fool, or you'll regret it."
I exhaled slowly, knowing any protest would be pointless.
Being back at this place made my muscles lock up, my face going rigid with tension.
Will stood by the entrance. The moment he caught sight of Ridley and me walking up, he strode over with a greeting ready.
"Ridley, Ana." His smile seemed genuine enough.
But his eyes lingered on me, appreciation flickering openly. "You look stunning tonight, Ana."
