I spotted him talking to the waiter before he noticed me. The perfectly tailored gray suit hugged his frame—a darker, more refined shade that made his silver hair look even more striking. Simple design, but every detail was flawless.
Most men couldn't pull off that color, but he wore it like he was born for it.
From where I stood, I could only catch his profile.
Sharp, defined features. Silver hair swept across his forehead just right. Those intense eyes that always seemed to see right through everything.
"You know him?" Madeline followed my stare. Right then, Morris turned and caught us looking. Recognition flickered across Madeline's face—like she'd seen him somewhere before.
"I do." I grabbed Madeline's hand and walked straight over to him. "What are the odds? Here for dinner too?"
His gaze dropped to our linked arms, something dark flashing in his eyes. "I'm handling business."
