Chapter 148 - William's Demise

At this very moment.

Alkali Lake Industrial Complex.

Eleven Symbiotes moved stealthily under the cover of night.

The defenses of William's base were like nothing before the Symbiotes.

Although the dam could block water flow, it could not block air. As long as there were vents, the Symbiotes could not be stopped.

In the dim night, patrolling soldiers were continuously eaten whole by suddenly expanding Symbiotes.

In just a few minutes, all the Symbiotes successfully infiltrated the base.

Among them, the ten Symbiotes created by Aaron caused large-scale riots in different areas.

The security's weapons were useless against these Symbiotes. Hundreds of bullets poured out, passing right through the Symbiotes' bodies. The Symbiotes' bodies were like liquid, scattering and re-forming, practically a different kind of immortal body.

As for Eddie and Venom, they quietly passed through the security personnel and headed deep into the base.

At this moment, William was waiting for news from Nightcrawler.

However, Nightcrawler had not yet returned from his mission, but turmoil had already erupted within the base.

"What's happening?"

William was both shocked and enraged, grabbing a soldier who was heading to the battlefield to question him.

"Director, ten monsters have broken into the base and are causing massive destruction."

"Is it those damned Mutants again?"

"Is it the Mutant Brotherhood? Or Xavier's School?"

William's face darkened upon hearing this, leaning more towards it being the Brotherhood.

While thinking, he walked straight into the monitoring room.

When he saw the images on the monitors, he froze in place.

"Can anyone tell me where these ugly jelly people came from?"

He carefully racked his brain, wondering if he had offended these jelly people.

Mutants? Doesn't look like it.

He had never seen a Mutant so abstract. Their bodies were soft and boneless, yet they could easily lift and swing tons of equipment.

He watched helplessly as his soldiers, like cannon fodders, had their gun barrels turn red, yet couldn't harm the opponents in the slightest.

Even if someone threw a grenade, it would be quickly smacked back by them. Occasionally, one or two grenades would explode, but they had no effect on them.

Where did these monsters come from?

William wondered if he had done too many human experiments, and those dead Mutants had turned into ghosts, returning from Hell.

"Director, we can't hold out much longer, our weapons have no effect on them."

The deputy's panicked voice came through the headset.

William's face was ferocious.

Damn it, what the hell is going on today!

First, the funding was cut, and now there's an attack by the "Hell Devil."

Aaron's figure flashed through his mind instantly.

No, no, no, impossible!

"Have someone activate the base's self-destruct device and quickly transfer the data. We..."

Boom!

Before William could finish speaking, gunfire suddenly erupted outside the door, but it only lasted a few seconds before the door was kicked open.

William turned his head to look. Venom's tall, hideous face stood in the doorway. It was holding a headless corpse.

Seeing William look over, Venom opened its mouth wide. "Surprise!"

"Damn it!"

William immediately snatched the submachine gun from a nearby soldier and pulled the trigger. But only when facing the Symbiote up close could he truly understand the despair of the frontline soldiers.

In a few seconds, hundreds of bullets were unleashed, riddling Venom's body with holes, but it recovered instantly.

Venom's hands turned into sharp, pliable spears, extending several meters, stringing up all the soldiers and lifting them in front of him.

Then, Venom's head suddenly swelled, turning into an afterimage and devouring all the heads in less than a second. At the same time, it extended its long tongue and licked the corners of its lips.

"Hahaha, buffet, this is amazing!"

William was filled with terror. He had never seen such a horrifying monster. Even a Mutant wasn't half as terrifying as them.

Could they really be Devils?

Venom came before William and lifted him high up.

William's legs trembled as he asked, "What kind of monsters are you?"

Venom's face seemed to melt, revealing half of Eddie's face.

Eddie and Venom said simultaneously, "We are Venom."

"Mr. Aaron sends his regards."

William's pupils contracted. Before he could speak, a massive mouth quickly approached. And then, only darkness remained.

One hour later.

"Mission complete."

"Everyone who needed to be killed has been killed, and everyone who needed to be captured has been captured. Burp! This buffet today was absolutely fantastic."

Venom chatted with the other Symbiotes, "One of you should call the boss or something."

"Father, I'll make the call."

A burly Symbiote, whose body flowed with a color resembling lava, spoke.

Saying this, he took out a phone from his waist and called Norman.

"Father? Oh sh*t, don't associate me with you. I don't know you bunch of cowards." Venom screamed in denial.

He absolutely refused to admit he had such a cowardly child.

"Look at me, perfect black physique. Now look at you, like lava. You are definitely Riot's kid."

"Father, no matter how much you deny it, I possess your memories."

After Lava finished speaking, he began communicating with Norman.

He was the Captain of this security squad and the Deputy Director of the Security Department.

When he heard that the big boss needed a few trustworthy subordinates to run errands, he immediately volunteered. Originally, he wanted more money, but now that he had obtained the Symbiote's power, he felt only reverence for Aaron.

The immense power made his life feel perfect.

And this slaughter made his life even more fulfilling.

He loved killing.

After Lava finished the call, Venom still wanted to say something.

At that moment, all the Symbiotes, including Lava, suddenly shuddered and looked in one direction simultaneously.

There, a dark black portal opened.

A man wearing silver armor stepped out of the portal.

From him, they felt fear originating from the depths of their hearts and a heavy sense of oppression, like a great mountain.

That was darkness, that was death.

Even as Symbiotes, they felt boundless terror at this moment.

Venom also felt that oppressive sensation. It was just less intense than what the other Symbiotes felt because he had not been modified by the Primordial Furnace. But this did not stop him from shutting his mouth and looking at Aaron with fearful eyes.

"Too similar."

"Similar to what?" Eddie asked internally.

"Similar to the King in Black."

The other Symbiotes trembled upon hearing that name.

Having inherited the memories of Riot and Venom, they naturally knew of Knull.

Although the dark pressure emanating from Aaron differed somewhat from Knull's, it was purer and more terrifying.

At this moment, Lava glanced at Venom, who was also too scared to move.

Venom understood what Lava's look meant.

Damn it, I'm just respecting the boss, absolutely not being a coward.

Venom cursed inwardly, yet his body dared not move.

Aaron walked step by step, and under the gaze of the Symbiote Squad, he walked straight into the experimental base.

This was a cage specifically used to detain Mutants. It also stored genetic tissue containing various Mutant data.

In the left cage were imprisoned The Great Illusionist, a man in a wheelchair who looked like he had Parkinson's, and Dead Girl, a cold-faced, slender woman wearing black leather.

They had heard the commotion inside the base, but since they didn't have William's authorization, no one opened the door for them.

When they saw a man in armor walk in, their pupils contracted slightly.
