The Creditor was put in prison.
That day, a beam of light crossed all the realms and fell into the Sanctum.
There was a voice in the light.
The Supreme True God.
"Pangu, I have walked through countless worlds and never seen a remaking this thorough. Especially one done under the Creditor. You have opened my eyes."
Pangu bowed. "You flatter me. What I've done is less than a billionth of what you have."
"Humility is your virtue."
The Supreme True God paused.
"But what I lack right now is exactly someone like you."
Pangu looked up.
"Someone who could take a dying world and make it run a surplus, with Murky Oil watching the whole time."
"Someone like that, I can use."
"And merit can't go unrewarded," the Supreme True God said. "I appoint you 'Director of Creditor Affairs.' Every universe stuck in deficit is yours to manage. Take your family, and bring what you did here to every place that needs it."
"I'll allocate resources to you."
"Not much. Barely enough."
"Whatever's short, I'll lend you. Interest-free."
"If you or your people get into trouble, I'll cover for you."
Pangu was stunned for a moment.
He had borrowed divine power once in his life. The interest from that one time had nearly cost this world its life.
"Thank you," Pangu said. "I won't let you down."
"I don't doubt it."
The voice faded.
The light hadn't finished dispersing.
Pangu turned to his children.
"You all heard what was just said."
"From now on, every world I take over will have a door that opens into this world."
"Wherever the door opens, your divine authority goes with it."
He looked at Shanjue first. "Shanjue, I give 'justice' to you. You said you understand unfairness when you see it. Then lay the foundations for this new world."
Shanjue bowed.
Then at Qianhui. "Qianhui, I give 'sustainability' to you. Make this world hold up, all the way to the end of time."
Qianhui bowed and accepted it.
Last, Pangu looked at Wanquan and nodded slightly.
"Wanquan, you'll stand beside them and support them."
"Wherever the door opens, you'll still be able to call names there."
He thought for a moment.
"Do you want a new title?"
"No need," Wanquan said. "Three is plenty already."
