The screen flickered, and a strange being appeared. That alien entity looked cute with all its fur, little horns, and big expressive eyes, and many would not feel any malice from such. But I was shocked as I knew who that was.
'A Dokkaebi… Wait wait wait wait… Am I in fucking ORV world, then why the hell am I in Japan, shouldn't I be in Korea? FUCK… why this apocalyptic world, and I don't even know any scenarios of Japan. Ahh… If I knew this was going to happen, I would have read that novel that Dokja mentioned. At least I could have known any scenarios of Japan if it was mentioned in it. Yeah, this was expected. Everyone started cursing and threatening Dokkaebei, and from what I know, some will be dying right now.

The whole carriage fell into deafening silence, and even though I knew this was coming, it didn't stop the shuddering of my body and the instinct to vomit. But the fear of falling dead like that ceased that urge.
I covered Nino's eyes earlier so she wouldn't see such a scene, but the trembling and smell of iron in the air didn't do any better. Still, I whispered in her ears.
"Nino, be quiet right now and don't make any sound. We don't know what that thing will blow off our heads, and don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you."
Her trembling calmed slightly and she nodded as to tell she understood. I took away my arms from her eyes and turned her towards me for her to not see the bloodied scene.

Guess this is goodbye to my peaceful Slice of Life Genre life, as it suddenly changed to Fantasy. Guess my luck really said fuck you and dive deep down.

The disappearance of the ominous creature didn't break the silence, as that was followed by a 5-minute countdown for the impending doom and the worst nightmare one can ever imagine.
After an unknown minute, the first cry for despair and fear broke which led to an outbreak of panic in the carriage. The death of a few smartasses didn't help much in making room in the already jam-packed carriage which had now become a living because of all the outrage.
"What the fuck!! This is a prank, right?"
"Mom, I'm scared."
"Don't worry, honey, everything is fine. Help must be on the way."
"H-hey, W-what's t-that?"
A guy who looked like a college student pointed towards the sky through the window. Everyone now focused on him, turned towards the direction he pointed, only to have all colour drain from their faces as what they were seeing was really hard to comprehend, though equally terrifying.
Giant Serpents, Grotesque unknown creatures, beings that looked like they just stepped out of some Lovecraftian horror, and many more were moving high in the sky, most likely waiting for the final line of defense to be taken down, which was still 4 minutes away.
I was one of those who looked out, and damn, I wished I hadn't. Fear crept all over my spine, and my body started trembling, but then I looked at the girl in my arms, who also seemed to have witnessed the scene outside, had tears flowing down her cheeks, her arms tightly hugging my waist, and the tremble was more than mine.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to stop the trembling and push all the fear down, as I still have people, I need to make sure they are safe. First course of action: get out of this cramped space. Second, everyone's situation. Slapping both my cheeks to motivate myself, I freed myself from Nino's grasp.
"R-Ren?"
"Nino, waiting here won't help much. Let's get out of here first and check on everyone's situations. All your sisters are at home, right?"
"Umm… No, I-Ichika is out of the country for her acting classes, and Yotsuba went to a summer camp with her club in Nara. But Miku and Itsuki should be at home."
"Ok, first call Miku and tell them to stay at home and keep a watch outside, if things escalate to the worst, tell them to move out. Make sure they pack food and a knife or something for protection. Then, call both Ichika and Yotsuba and get a hold on their status. Till then, I will try to get the door open."
"O-ok."
"Great, let's get to it."
Seeing Nino start calling, I checked the countdown. Only 3 minutes and 38 seconds left. Better hurry.
Clearing my throat, I shouted with the top of my lungs.
"HEY! EVERYBODY! LISTEN HERE!"
Seeing everybody's attention was on me now, I continued.
"WE WON'T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER THE COUNTDOWN REACHES ZERO, BUT STAYING IN THE Train WON'T DO US MUCH. WE BETTER START MOVING OUT AND FIND SAFE SPOTS BEFORE THOSE UP THERE START CAUSING HAVOC EVERYWHERE."
"What are you talking about? The government must be sending help. If we just wait here, the military will save us and take us to a safe shelter."
"Y-Yeah"
"E-Exactly, s-stop causing trouble, kid."
"Sigh~ ARE YOU GUYS IDIOTS, CAN'T YOU SEE THE BEINGS UP THERE. THESE THINGS WILL BE WREAKING HAVOC EVERYWHERE, THE WHOLE OF JAPAN WILL BE AT THEIR MERCY. SO, WHY WOULD THEY SEND HELP FOR US FIRST? AND WHAT WOULD YOU DO, IF SOME CREATURE LANDS DIRECTLY ON TOP OF US? WE WILL BE CRUSHED TO DEATH. SO, STOP BEING COWARDS AND HELP ME OPEN UP THE DOOR."

Seeing a guy coming forward to help created a chain and many more started opening the all the doors in groups of 4-5. Though, it was harder that expected as ours with only me the first guy whose name was Kyosuke trying, won't even bulge.
"Fuck!... huff~...It just... huff~ won't open."
"Yeah… huff~... We… huff~… more help."
Looking around for someone strong, I noticed a person with a big body fiddling on his phone, most likely trying to contact his family. Thinking for a bit, I quickly walked up to him.
"Sir, we need your help on that door."
"J-just let me c-call my f-family f-first."
"Sir, we don't have much time. You can just run to them after the doors are unlocked."
"... Ok, let's go."
"Thank you, sir."
Finally, with the help of Mr. Yamada, the door was unlocked. Breathing heavily, Kyosuke… the guy who walked up to help first, and I Hi-fied and thanked Mr. Yamada, who was already running. Others also started running out through the door, though few still believed help would arrive and didn't move out.
"Let's get going too. All the best out there."
"You too, Kyosuke, and I hope you and your family will be safe."
"Yeah, well… my little sister is quite smart, so she should already be taking action for their safety."
"Hmm… Is your sister's name Kirino?"
"Huh? How do you know?"
"Hmm, thought so… Let's move out quickly, not much time is left."

Well, meeting an anime character has become quite normal for me now. I already lost count how many of them I already met while randomly strolling down the street. And today I met two of them, one being Kyosuke, from the Oreimo Series and Mr. Yamada, father of Yamada Anna from The Dangers in my Heart.
Whatever, about 2 minutes till disaster, better move. I turned and grasped the hands of Nino, who was still trying to call Ichika and Yotsuba, and started running as well.
