Chapter 2 - chapter 2 - uncanny dreams

[you are fated to die, would you like to reset?]

the words blurred and distorted in Pa goes eyes, he wobbled and stumbled forward, fainting from the overwelming pain

gasped in cold sweat, Pa goe woke up throbbing all over, he let out a sight of relief, but his comfort was brief,

"hi" cheon sa said, right beside Pa goes head, making him jump

"how did you get into my room?!" pa goe blurted out

"don't question it!" cheon sa said excitedly as he pulled Pa goe away, too eager to wait for Pa goe to dress up

"hi, I'm Kang Pa goe"

Is how I introduce myself to anyone, knowing damn well everything would go south the second those words were spit out from my filthy mouth

Because of that, people always distant them self away from me, for whatever I was told, I was born on the day several churches were burnt down, and for my parents sake that's how I got my name.

It was a curse, teachers blame me for anything, students hated me, neglected me in activities, but I lived a single and lonely life

But if you're too lazy for a long introductions, here's my life in a nutshell

-Kang Pa goe

-22

-A second rate mage

cheon sa on the other hand, was the complete opposite of me, I always subconsciously admire him

why? cuz he's fucking amazing

the sound of a finger snapped brought Pa goe back to reality

"hellooooooooo"' cheon sa called out, slicing a piece of meat, before putting it into his mouth, savouring it

"you there?" he asked, looking at pa goe with those worried eyes

"I'm fine"

"I can eat your share if you don't wan-" cheon sa said, smirking

"no" Pa goe said, putting his plate where cheon sa cannot reach "stay back"

"jeez" cheon sa mumbled between bites of food "you know, if you're depressed, vent to me, I'm a great listener" cheon sa smiled, the same one that melted people's hearts, the same warm smile that brought hope to people who wanted to commit,

"yeah yeah whatever you say" Pa goe said bluntly, not looking at cheon sa as he picked his food, swirling it around the plate

"you were bashing yourself against the stuff in your room last night" cheon sa said calmly, he couldn't help but let out a small laughter "you really do need some mental help" he joked

Pa goe looked at cheon sa in disbelief, it was unreasonable but at least it explains the throbbing pain across his whole body

a gentle buzzing from the coffee maker filled the quiet room, it was comforting but awkward

"I made some coffee, want some?" cheon sa smiled softly, standing up and walked to the coffee machine

"I'll passed" pa goe replied, looking up, but what he saw wasn't cheon sa pouring coffee or anything he imagine, what stared back at him wasn't human it's features were twisted and disgusting with a smile stretched too wide, and for a moment it got closer to Pa goe before it was gone

"you.... okay?" cheon sa asked, watching Pa goes eyes widen before bending down, covering his mouth to prevent vomiting

cheon sa acted fast, quickly dropping down to his knees and grabbing a bucket for Pa goe

Pa goe quickly vomited into the bucket, gasping for air, his nose started bleeding, dripping down into the bucket

"are you okay?! What happened?!" but cheon sa's please fell on deaf ears as Pa goe fell silent, he couldn't erase the image in his head as if, it went into him

Pa goe ran to his room, slamming the door in the process, he couldn't reach the bed before dropping his knees to the floor clutching his stomach, he felt another wave of vomit rush up his throat

he slowly stumbled his way to the bathroom and vomited everything out, he felt his body was on fire

But for an instant, it was delightful, as if whatever was in Pa goe, liked the sadistic pain

a message bobbed in front of him again, the ding echoed in Pa goes mind, seemingly too loud, his head raised reflexively while his face was full of agony

 [rehabilitate pain]

accept or decline

"what?" pa goe thought to himself as his eyes scan the words repeatedly

no, he wasn't dreaming anymore

out of desperation he screamed "accept!"

watching the screen load was like waiting pain to dry, too long to endure, his vision blurred once more before the pain suddenly gone like magic, but by then Pa goe was already unconscious

[fuck] the screen spoke

there as no telling how long Pa goe had been knocked out for, but he was woken up by a loud banging on his door,
