After that in the evening Spring was in the garden when the servant came to her and told her that Lauren came to meet me as She nodded yes and told the servant to let Lauren come as the servant went and brought her in and Spring said
"Lauren please can't you leave Gabriel alone I'm his wife and his children are on the way what you will take to leave him"
She clenched her teeth, her jealousy and frustration flaring up at Spring's words. She let out an exasperated scoff, her eyes filled with irritation and envy.
"Why should I leave him alone? Just because you're his wife and you're carrying his children doesn't change anything. You and I both know that he's not gonna stay faithful and loyal to you in the long run. He's going to get bored and tired of you, and when that time comes, he'll come crawling back to me."
She rolled her eyes and because already irritated as said.
"What do you want and why are you here?"
She crossed her arms, her impatience and jealousy still evident in her demeanor. She took a step closer to her, her eyes narrowing as she looked her up and down.
"I'm here to give you a warning, princess. You think you've got him all figured out, that you're special because you've got him wrapped around your little finger, but trust me, honey, you're just a passing fancy. He's had many women before you, and he'll have many more after you."
Spring laughed sarcastically and said.
"He may have a past relationship but after getting married to me, he only sees me and as for you... you are just an old woman who can't stand that he didn't even see you and got married to me"
Her irritation flared up even more at Spring's words, her confident demeanor and obvious knowledge of Gabriel only fueling her anger and frustration.
"Old woman? I may be a few years older than you, but I have more experience, more sophistication, and more class in my little finger than you have in your whole damn body, princess. And as for Gabriel, he may be obsessed with you *now*, but let's see if he still feels that way when you're all soft and soft after giving birth."
She laughed sarcastically again and said.
"Few years? Oh please have you ever seen your face... you are 48 years old and I'm 19 years old and Gabriel he is 22 years old you are like our mother to me and him and you are dreaming about having a relationship with him, please give me a break"
Her face twisted with anger and humiliation at the brutal reminder of her age. Being called a 48-year-old woman who was old enough to be your mother was a harsh wake-up call for her, one that stung her pride and ego harder than anything else.
"Shut your mouth, you little brat. You have no idea what you're talking about. You may be young and naive, but that doesn't make you special. And as for me and Gabriel..."
She paused for a moment, her voice almost breaking at the realization of the words she was about to utter.
Spring scoffed and said.
"Cat got your tongue, you know I'm telling the truth it's just you don't want to accept that"
She clenched her fists, the realization that she had been defeated by a young girl hitting her like a punch to the gut. She tried to maintain a poker face, refusing to let her see how much Spring's words had affected her.
"You cheeky little- you know *nothing.* Yes, I'm older than you, yes, my face isn't as smooth as yours, but that doesn't mean I don't have a chance with him."
Her voice had a hint of desperation and vulnerability in it, a clear sign that she had hit a nerve.
Spring smirked cunningly and said.
"Chance? And you? Please don't make me laugh at you... Seriously see your age first you are like his mother's age and here you are dreaming of having a chance with him, what a foolish old woman"
Anger, humiliation, and shame coursed through her veins as Spring drove her point home. She had been reduced to a desperate woman, clinging onto false hopes, and Spring, a naive, young girl, had exposed her weakness. She clenched her jaw, trying to hide the tears that threatened to well up in her eyes.
"Shut up, you little brat. You don't know a damn thing about love, about real feelings. I've known him longer than you have. I know him better than you ever will."
Spring's jaw clenched and said*
"Seriously you are the one who is here only for humiliation, seriously think about yourself and your dignity please just let go of this obsession you don't love him it's just your obsession it not about love"
She bit her lip, Spring's words striking at her deepest insecurities. She had been telling herself for so long that her love for him was true, that she truly loved him and had a chance with him, and here she was, a young, innocent girl, effortlessly dismantling her illusions.
"You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, I'm older, yes, I have flaws, but my love for him is real, damn it."
Spring shook her head because now she knew as she said.
"I know but it's not your love for him it's your obsession with him, which is not healthy in this process you are the only one who is hurting yourself, can't you get that"
She hated it, hated how easily Spring saw right through her. Her obsession had been her driving force, her reason for hanging onto the hope that she had a chance with him. But deep down, she knew Spring was right. She was only hurting herself, clinging onto a fantasy that would never come true.
"Shut up," she said through clenched teeth, trying to sound defiant, but her voice cracked slightly, betraying her pain.
Her emotions were a tangled mess, a mixture of anger, humiliation, and pain. She hated that Spring, a young girl, had so easily seen through her, but there was no use denying the truth anymore. She let out a shaky breath, her voice barely above a whisper as she spoke.
"You're right... I'm just hurting myself, aren't I? It's not love, it's just an obsession. I'm making a fool out of myself, clinging onto a dream that's never going to come true."
As Spring nodded yes but she smirked and Lauren took out the gun and pointed at her and said
She watched Spring's smug expression, the smirk on her face sending a pang of anger through her heart. She was tired of feeling weak and pathetic, tired of being made a fool of by a young, naive little girl. In a moment of desperation, she drew a gun and pointed it at Spring, her hand trembling slightly.
"Shut your damn mouth, you little brat. You have no right to look at me with that damn smirk. You think you know everything, but you don't know a damn thing about life, about real feelings."
Spring looked at her and she said.
"So you were here to kill me"
She clenched her jaw, her hand shaking slightly as she held the gun. She knew she was being desperate, that her actions were irrational and unacceptable, but she couldn't think straight. The anger and jealousy and frustration boiled inside her, and in that moment, she contemplated resorting to extreme measures.
"I just want you out of the picture. You're in my way, and you're taking away the man I love."
Before she could shoot at Spring someone shot on her arm and she falls on ground as she saw Gabriel shoot her.
She dropped the gun as a shot of pain flared up her arm, a cry of pain and surprise escaping her as she hit the ground. She looked up, her vision blurry, and her eyes widened as she saw Gabriel, a gun in his hand. She looked at him with a mixture of shock, anger, and confusion, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Gabriel...?"
His face was stoic, his expression cold and hard, the normally calm and controlled man now resembling a completely different person. He walked towards Spring and placed a protective hand on her shoulder, his gaze shifting to Lauren, his voice low and cold as he spoke.
"Touch my wife again, and next time, I'm aiming for your head."
She clenched her teeth in pain as she looked up at him, her heart sinking at the sight of him standing protectively beside Spring. She could see the love and possessiveness in his eyes, the way he looked at Spring with such devotion and protectiveness, and the reality of the situation began to sink in. She tried to speak, her voice shaky and weak.
"Gabriel, please... it's not what you think..."
He didn't even bother to look at her as he spoke, his gaze fixed firmly on Spring, making sure she was unharmed. His voice was cold and detached, devoid of any of the warmth she had grown so accustomed to.
"Save it. I saw everything. You came here, threatened my wife, and pointed a gun at her. There's nothing you can say to justify that."
The realization that her actions had been pointless, that he had seen everything and there was no way to explain away what she had done, hit her like a punch to the stomach. She tried to push herself up, her hand holding her wounded arm. She looked at him with desperate, pleading eyes, her voice choked with tears.
"Gabriel... please listen to me... I love you... I love you, damn it. Don't let her take you from me. Don't let her come between us...."
He let out a scoff, his hand clenching into a tight fist as he heard her desperate plea. How dare she say those words? As if her actions hadn't spoken louder than any words.
"Don't you dare. You don't get to say that. You pointed a gun at the woman I love, my damn wife, and had the audacity to call it love. You have no idea what love is, Lauren. You never did."
The words hit her like knives, the realization that she had never truly understood love, not compared to what he felt for Spring. She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face, her voice filled with despair and pleading.
"Please, Gabriel, I know I messed up, but can't you see? I did this because I love you. I can't stand the thought of you with someone else. You're meant to be with me, damn it. I'm the one who understands you, who knows you better than anyone."
Her desperate pleas and tears didn't sway him. If anything, they only fueled his anger and annoyance further. Hearing her claim she understood him, he had to suppress a scoff. Her words were like a mockery.
"You think you understand me? You think you know me? You don't know a damn thing. You don't know the first thing about me. And as for being meant for me, that's a load of bullshit. My place is with my wife, not with some desperate, obsessed, delusional woman."
She let out a cry of frustration and pain, both physical and emotional. The bullet wound on her arm stung, but it was nothing compared to the pain of losing him. She tried to sit up, her body shaking with desperation and despair.
"Damn it, Gabriel, listen to me! I can make you happy! I can be everything you want. I'm willing to worship you, serve you, do anything for you. Just please, don't choose her over me!"
He clenched his jaw, his anger flaring at her desperate words. How delusional and out of touch with reality she was. Her offer to worship and serve him was repulsive and pathetic, a desperate attempt to save something that was already over.
"You think you can make me happy? You think you can give me what she does? You're delusional, sweetheart. You want to worship and serve me? You want to do anything for me? You know what you can do? Stay the hell away from me and my family."
As his men came and took her away as Spring was already disgusted with Lauren as Spring ran a hand on her small baby bump making sure that babies were safe.
As his men took her away, Gabriel turned his attention to on Spring, his gaze softening in an instant. The sight of her rubbing her hand over her baby bump worried him, his protective instincts immediately on high alert.
"Baby, are you alright? Did she hurt you? The babies are fine, right?"
He asked genuinely, his voice laced with concern as he stepped closer to her, his hand gently reaching out to touch her stomach.
Spring smiled softly and looked at him and said.
"I'm fine honey, and our babies are okay"
He let out a sigh of relief, his hand still resting on her stomach, his touch gentle and tender. Seeing her unharmed and knowing the babies were alright brought him a sense of comfort and security.
"Thank God. I was worried she had hurt you or the babies."
"If anything had happened to you or the babies, I would've..."
His voice trailed off as his expression darkened at the thought, his protective instincts flaring up. The idea of anything harming her or the babies was his worst nightmare, and he was more than willing to protect and defend his family.
"I should've known she was becoming a problem. Damn it, I shouldn't have let her get so close to you, sweetheart. It's my job to keep you and the babies safe."
She smiled softly and wrapped her arms around his neck and her hands were running through his hair.
"It's okay honey, look I'm fine and our babies are also fine"
He let out a soft sigh as he felt her arms around his neck and your fingers running through his hair, the tension in his body beginning to slowly ease. He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, pulling her closer to him, wanting to feel her body pressed against his.
"I know, I know sweetheart. I just... the thought of you getting hurt or anything happening to you or the babies, it drives me crazy."
He looked down at her belly, his hand gently rubbing over the soft roundness, his expression filled with tenderness and possessiveness.
After some days in the morning Spring got a call from her friend who knows Lauren too and she told her as she was surprised as she nodded and hung up the call.
He noticed the surprised expression on her face as she put down the phone. His brows furrowed in concern, his protective instincts immediately kicking in. He approached her, his gaze filled with worry and curiosity.
"Sweetheart? What's going on? What did your friend say?"
He asked with a hint of protectiveness in his voice, his body unconsciously shifting into a protective stance, standing closer to her as if preparing for whatever news she was about to give him.
She looked at him and said.
"It's about Lauren"
His expression darkened the moment she mentioned Lauren. His jaw clenched, and his eyes narrowed with a mixture of anger and caution. He took a deep breath, his protective instincts immediately flaring up at the mere mention of her name.
"What about her? What did your friend tell you?"
He asked, his voice firm and slightly tense, already bracing himself for whatever news was coming. He stepped even closer to her, his hand reaching out to rest on her shoulder protectively, needing physical contact to ground himself.
She sighed and said.
"After you sent her to prison because she tried to kill me... She got insane and now today she is shifting to mental asylum"
His grip on her shoulder tightened slightly as he listened to what she said. The news didn't come as a surprise to him and only confirmed his belief that Lauren was unstable and dangerous. He let out a scoff and shook his head, his voice filled with a mixture of anger and disdain.
"She's lost her damn mind. I'm not surprised, sweetheart. She was clearly unstable from the beginning, and her obsession with me only drove her over the edge. She's where she belongs now. Away from us and locked up where she can't harm you or the babies."
She nodded yes and looked at him and said*
"And in prison she also got paralysed for the lifetime because her prison mates beat her up"
A twisted sense of satisfaction flickered in his eyes as he heard her words. A part of him felt a dark, twisted sense of relief and justice knowing that Lauren had suffered for her actions. His grip on Spring's shoulder tightened even more, almost possessively, as he spoke in a low, almost menacing tone.
"Good. She got what she deserved. She tried to hurt you, tried to take you away from me. She deserved everything that happened to her. I don't have a single drop of sympathy for her."
He let out a low scoff, a cold, hard look in his eyes as he thought about Lauren's current state. He felt no shame or remorse for his lack of sympathy for her. She had threatened Spring's safety and the safety of his babies. In his eyes, she deserved every bit of suffering she was going through right now, and he had no intention of feeling guilty for the joy he felt in her pain.
"Let her rot away in that asylum, sweetheart. She's no longer our problem."
She smiled softly and said
"So let's celebrate today"
He looked at her with a small smirk on his face, the darkness in his eyes giving way to a hint of joy. He couldn't help but chuckle at her words. The thought of celebrating and enjoying a carefree day with her after everything that had happened was appealing to him.
"Celebrate, huh? And what did you have in mind, princess?"
He said as he took a step closer, his hand moving from her shoulder to her hip, his touch possessive and firm.
She smiled softly and thought and said.
"How about we go to your newly opened restaurant"
He raised an eyebrow at her suggestion, visibly pleased by her choice. He loved seeing her excited, and taking her to his newly opened restaurant seemed like the perfect way to celebrate.
"Sounds perfect, sweetheart. I'd love to take you to my restaurant for a little celebration."
He said with a small smirk, his hand giving her hip a gentle squeeze. He leaned in a bit closer, his voice dropping to a low, almost seductive tone.
"And I promise I'll spoil you rotten, princess."
He pulled her even closer, his body now almost flush against hers. The idea of spoiling her and pampering her, his beautiful pregnant wife, filled him with a sense of possessive pride and satisfaction.
"We'll get the best table, order the finest cuisine, and I'll make sure you're constantly showered with attention and compliments, sweetheart. Nothing but the best for you and those babies, my princess."
He said with a smirk, his hand caressing her hip affectionately before moving to gently touch her baby bump once more, his protective instincts flaring up again.
She smiled softly and nodded yes.
