(Land of Grass)
(Near the End of 3rd Ninja War)
Uchiha Kei sighed as she looked at the mission scroll.
'They really want to kill me, huh?'
She burnt the scroll, and rested in the camp.
There are three hours left before the mission starts.
Without nothing to do during this break, she could only sigh as she reminisced her life until now.
Perhaps, she has reincarnated in this world at the worst time. It is probably even worse than Warring Clans Era. Atleast she wouldn't have to be so cautious about backstabbing in that era.
Aftergetting assassinated in her previous life, she reincarnated into the world of Naruto.
As an Uchiha.
And out of her 17 years of this life, she has spent almost 7 years on the battlefield.
She sighed, thinking about her previous life.
She came from a good and rich family. She managed to get into the top engineering college of her country, and her main project was just about to be presented to her first client. Advanced robots that would be able to climb mountains like the Himalayas.
But then, her subordinate stabbed her.
It was probably the work of CIA. It has a history of assassinating competition. Or maybe China?
Or maybe her subordinate was just hated her personally.
She didn't get the answer, and she got reincarnated into the world of Naruto, where someone even worse than CIA is ruling the village behind the shadows.
Danzo.
'And I reincarnated as an Uchiha. During the war.'
Third Ninja War has been going on for 9 years already.
And this time, it is Konoha vs All.
And perhaps due to her interference, Iwa hasn't betrayed Kumo and the Third Raikage is still alive, or the other way round.
And he is proving a challenge to Minato. Third Raikage can't kill Minato because of his speed, and Minato can't kill Raikage because of his defence.
Yet, even in this intense situation, the village politics is at work. Majority of the Uchiha clan is sent to fight against Kiri, even though everyone knows that fire is weak against water and Sharingan is barely of much use against hiding in the mist jutsu.
Till now, only Raikage is the only Kage on the battlefield, and all other Kages are remaining inside their villages, free from any danger.
No matter how scummy Kumo is to others, atleast they are very good to their own people.
And she is stuck in Land of Grass against Iwa.
'I have vapourised several Iwa camps with Kirin, and my contribution is no less than Minato.
Yet, I wasn't given any forbidden jutsu, like the Flying Thunder God that I so desparately need. It is the perfect jutsu for escaping.'
She had to rely on Uchiha library, and herself.
She has created several jutsus like Chidori and it's variants, Rasengan, Kirin, Itachi's crow substitution, and even created a ninjutsu storage and absorption gauntlet to conserve her chakra. It can even be used to absorb, well seal, an S-rank ninjutsu in each gauntlet that is thrown at her.
And she had to do all this on her own.
Hee team was trash, with the Jonin-sensei as strong as Kurenai in canon, with nothing to reach her.
She is such a genius, yet the village is fully intent on getting rid of her. No wonder she has kept her gauntlet a secret from those scumbags.
On her last mission, Onoki's son, who was supposed to be in Rain village as per the intelligence, was waiting for ambushing her in the route to the Iwa camp that she was about to destroy.
Thankfully, she is always cautious around Aburames, and her genjutsu is around canon Itachi level, minus the Mangekyo Sharingan.
It was a really tough battle.
The Aburame sensor who was guiding her was 'killed' by 'Onoki's son'.
He was obviously a ROOT member. That's why she is fully covered and constantly on the edge, that she should not let even a mosquito bite her in this country full of mosquitoes.
Afterall, a mosquito was the main reason of Shisui's death. \
Aburames are really dangerous.
After a while, her 'teammates' of the mission arrived.
One from Shimura clans, one from Yamanaka clan, and one from Aburame clan.
'Yup. Totally not suspicious.'
"I will be blunt. I don't trust you guys after what the Aburame guy pulled last time. I will take Hizashi. Just hand over the intelligence."
The Yamanaka guy said seriously. Accusingly.
"Are you serious? You are being suspicious of your own village?"
"The Aburame guy last time was colluding with Onoki's son, leading me into the trap. He even tried to poison me. And look who Hokage-sama has sent even after the fiasco with Aburame Clan.
Hand over the intelligence, and fill in for whatever Hizashi is doing. Otherwise, I am not going."
The Yamanaka guy, who seemed like the leader of the trip, sighed and nodded.
"Alright."
'...They agreed so easily?
Oh. Is it Han this time? Or Roshi? Or both waiting for me?
I can handle Roshi, but Han is a completely different matter.
Afterall, he could match KCM1 Naruto. And among the tailed beasts, after Kurama and Gyuki, Five-tails with boil release is probably the strongest. Just my opinion.'
Well, good thing that I have gotten the hawk summoning too with me to run away.
Unless Onoki appears, I should be fine—'
Suddenly, she felt immense danger, and barely dodged, putting forward her ninjutsu absorption gauntlet.
"Aaaarggggh-!"
She couldn't feel her dominant right arm. Only blood flowing out that she instinctively started stopping using medical ninjutsu.
She didn't have time to think, so she used Crow Clone jutsu and started fleeing, constantly changing directions with her crows going in all directions, having myself transformed into a crow.
And she was horrified. Onoki was hovering over the camp, which has largely been reduced to dust. Most who survived were fleeing, many got turned to dust and died, and some foolish were trying to look for her so that she will fight Onoki.
She might be a newbie Kage level ninja, and she might even be able to go toe to toe against Onoki, maybe even kill him.
But this was a surprise attack. And she has lost her dominant arm. Her ninjutsu is limited to only a few that she can use without handsigns or a single hand. Which doesn't include ninjutsus like Chidori.
Moreover, Rasengan wouldn't do much against Onoki who must be already employing Earth armour. And hiting Onoki who can freely fly is very difficult.
She has learnt how to fly as a crow, but Onoki is in another league.
'I need to escape—!'
"Don't think you can escape. This is for my son!"
For Kei, who has never been wounded so much, didn't realise until too late that she was bleeding during her crow transformation.
Or atleast that's what Onoki thought and reduced that crow and those surrounding it to dust.
Genjutsu.
Meanwhile, she herself was running away alongside the other ninjas from Konoha camp.
Her Sharingan had noticed who got caught up as well, so she was transformed as him.
The blood coming out from her would no doubt give a scent too strong to not notice.
Onoki still noticed her. Knowing how tricky the Sharingan is, he had collected all information about her that he could. Danzo gave him her blood samples so that he would be able to recognise the strength.
Though he actually didn't know which of them is actually Kei, he now knew that he had been tricked, and the exact group she is in.
He will just kill them all.
Onoki used Dust release again, and Kei used her trump card.
She barely managed to absorb some of the Dust Release, dodged, and shot back the dust release at him.
And used the short moment of surprise to summon her hawk.
She can already feel herself getting slughish, so she knows that there is only one way.
Izanagi.
"You can reflect back my ninjutsu!? You are too dangerous! I will kill you right here and now!"
As her hawk was flying away, dodging the attacks, Kei was lying on him and healing her arm to stop the bleeding.
Just as the bleeding fully stopped, just as she was about to cast Izanagi, a Dust Release jutsu came from above, separate from the Onoki that was chasing her.
A clone prepared in advance to not let her escape.
It hit her and her hawk that she was on.
