We stayed like that for a long moment, chests heaving, foreheads pressed together as the steam from the shower finally began to wash over our tangled bodies.
The silence that followed was heavy but sweet, the tension of the day finally flushed away.
After we finished showering, we stepped back into the cool air of the bedroom. I reached for my clothes, but before I could pull them on, Leon was there. He reached out, his fingers hooking into the towel wrapped around my waist, and with a playful tug, he let it fall to the floor.
"Don't bother dressing," he murmured, his voice a low, playful rumble. "Let's go eat just like this. Naked."
My heart did a somersault, and I felt the heat rush to my face instantly. "No! Leon, stop it! I can't... I won't be comfortable!" I scrambled to cover myself, my left hand shielding my chest while my right hand clamped firmly over my lap.
