At noon, Onizuka unexpectedly came over.
Today was clearly his first day of internship, but there wasn't much of a smile on his face; instead, there was a wave of displeasure.
He searched the restaurant but didn't find Liu Ming, so he went directly to the kitchen.
Elma had met Onizuka yesterday and knew he was Liu Ming's friend, so she didn't stop him.
"Isn't today your first day of work? Why are you here?" Liu Ming asked curiously while cooking.
Onizuka found an empty seat and slumped listlessly on the edge of the counter.
He said despondently, "You have no idea what kind of students are in the class I'm teaching."
"Oh~" Liu Ming became curious, a hint of schadenfreude in his expression. "Tell me about it."
"Not only are there many boys, but every single one of them is a delinquent, practically indistinguishable from gang members. And the few female students in the class even wear makeup like old ladies, it really blinded me."
"And I was still so looking forward to it."
As Onizuka spoke, his mood became even more depressed.
"Hahahaha~" Liu Ming couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.
Onizuka glared at him fiercely. "Are you even my brother? I'm this miserable, and you're still laughing."
Liu Ming ignored him and said matter-of-factly, "That's called instant karma."
"You should think about what you were like when you were a student. Now the retribution has come, hasn't it?"
"I~" Onizuka was speechless.
Liu Ming was right. He used to be even wilder than the current students.
Compared to him, those students were practically angels.
"Right? And you seem to underestimate the profession of a teacher too much, don't you?"
"What's wrong with delinquents? Isn't it precisely because of this that teachers are even more needed to guide them back onto the right path?"
"Are you going to give up just like that?"
Liu Ming's words were like sharp knives piercing his chest.
"How could I? I am Onizuka Eikichi, the future world's greatest teacher. How could such a small matter stump me? Let me teach them a good lesson about what it means to be a senior."
Onizuka's competitive spirit was instantly ignited, and he shouted loudly with pride and confidence.
Liu Ming smiled. This was the Onizuka he knew; his unyielding personality was just as strong as before.
Onizuka continued earnestly, saying, "My dream hasn't been achieved yet, so how could I give up the teaching profession so easily?"
Liu Ming's eyes twitched, and he asked strangely, "Do you even have a dream? I didn't know that."
Onizuka glanced at him and said grumpily, "Everyone has dreams, of course I do too."
"Then what's your dream? To be the world's greatest teacher?" Liu Ming grew even more curious.
"Cough cough, that's just a goal, not a dream," Onizuka laughed awkwardly, but he didn't reveal his dream.
Ever since he had a conversation with his fellow intern teachers, his dream had changed.
However, a dream like marrying a 16-year-old wife at 40 would definitely make Liu Ming laugh at him if he knew.
Liu Ming rolled his eyes at him and placed a dish in front of him.
"This is your portion. Finish it and quickly get back to school to be your teacher."
He had made this during their conversation. Anyway, even if he didn't make it, Onizuka would shamelessly ask him to.
To avoid being shocked by him, Liu Ming decided to make it in advance.
"Haha, how can I be so rude?" Onizuka said, but his movements were not slow. He quickly ran to the rice cooker and scooped a full bowl of rice.
"I'll keep a tab. Remember to pay me back when you get your salary," Liu Ming said.
"Understood, I'll pay you back when I get my salary," Onizuka waved his hand.
Although he knew Onizuka wouldn't be that obedient, it didn't matter. Liu Ming wouldn't genuinely fuss over these things with Onizuka.
He picked up another dish and a large bowl of white rice, then walked out of the kitchen.
This was for Kyoko, because the clothes she was wearing were not suitable for helping out, so Liu Ming had her stay in her room.
The door wasn't closed, so he just walked in.
Kyoko was happily lying on the soft bed. Even now, she still couldn't quite believe that everything in front of her was real.
Not long ago, she was being chased, and now she actually had a room of her own.
"Hehe, Hina, now I have my own room too, it's not worse than yours," Kyoko murmured happily, her eyes curving into crescent moons.
Looking at the two bright white legs on the bed, Liu Ming reluctantly averted his gaze.
He had only given Kyoko a loose dress, but he had forgotten the pants. However, he hadn't expected Kyoko to just not wear any.
Kyoko heard the sound and reluctantly sat up.
Seeing that it was Liu Ming, she immediately asked, "Manager, is it time for me to work?"
"Not yet. When Miyu and the others return tonight, change into their clothes, then start working. For now, fill your stomach."
Liu Ming placed the food on the table.
Smelling the aroma in the air, Kyoko's stomach couldn't help but rumble.
Kyoko's pretty face flushed, and she awkwardly covered her stomach.
"Hahahaha, hungry, aren't you? Come eat. I'll head back now."
To prevent Kyoko from feeling more embarrassed, Liu Ming didn't intend to stay long. After giving instructions, he left.
"Thank you, Manager, you're a really good person!" Kyoko hurried out the door and shouted loudly at Liu Ming.
Liu Ming waved his hand and walked away without looking back.
..
Under the combined efforts of Liu Ming, Tohru, and Elma, the lunch service hours finally passed.
This further strengthened Liu Ming's resolve to hire more people.
Liu Ming was about to sit down and rest for a while when his phone suddenly rang.
He picked it up and saw that it was Tadokoro Megumi calling.
If he remembered correctly, Tadokoro Megumi also started school today. Had it only been two days since they last met? Why was she suddenly calling?
Liu Ming didn't hesitate and answered directly.
"Master, hello. This should be rest time now, right? Am I disturbing you?"
Tadokoro Megumi's familiar gentle voice came through the receiver.
"No, Megumi, how are you doing over there? Is there something you called about?"
"Yes, it's a small matter," Tadokoro Megumi's tone was a little hesitant.
"Hehe, just say it directly if you have something to say. Why be polite with me?" Liu Ming said with a smile, not expecting Tadokoro Megumi to become so distant after only two days apart.
"Um, Master, are you free the day after tomorrow?" Tadokoro Megumi asked nervously.
"You're playing hard to get with me now? Just say what it is directly. Could Master not help you?"
On the other end of the phone, Tadokoro Megumi took a deep breath.
"I'm having a Food War with someone the day after tomorrow. Master, can you come and watch?"
Tadokoro Megumi briefly explained the situation in one breath, then nervously awaited Liu Ming's reply.
Liu Ming was instantly stunned, holding the phone in silence for a long time.
