"Kanna, have you seen Tohru?" Liu Ming looked at Kanna and asked.
After waking up today, he hadn't seen Tohru all day, which was really strange.
Before, she used to pester him constantly.
"Lady Tohru seems to have gone back; I felt the fluctuations of a spatial rift," Kanna replied, looking up.
"Gone back? Then do you know why she went back? Did something happen?" Liu Ming found it strange.
Why would Tohru leave without reason? Did something happen?
"I don't know; Lady Tohru didn't tell me," Kanna shook her head.
Is that so? Although he was a little worried, Tohru had completely recovered now, and with her strength, he didn't think there would be any problems.
Compared to Tohru, The Chitawara Natsume Sisters were even more of a headache for him.
Recalling the events of that night, he couldn't help but give a wry smile.
That night was truly too chaotic.
Everyone enjoyed that Buddha Jumps Over the Wall for more than four hours; after tasting it, Chihiro Orie's attitude towards him did a 180-degree turn, becoming even more fervent than her sister Chitawara Natsume, constantly saying, "I need you," and "Become my person."
This made Tohru's expression change again and again; if Liu Ming hadn't held her back, he really didn't know what would have happened in the end.
It was very late when they left, and there were still quite a few people lingering outside; seeing someone come out, they all went forward and asked various questions.
Seeing this, Liu Ming quickly closed the door again, out of sight, out of mind.
What made him happy was that The Chitawara Natsume Sisters left the next day because they had something to do; otherwise, Liu Ming was really afraid that Tohru would cause a big commotion.
...
"Uncle, what delicious food are we eating today?" Xiao Hina was now very close to Liu Ming. When she saw Liu Ming, she ran over and hugged his leg, her innocent face full of anticipation.
"Then what does Xiao Hina want to eat?" Liu Ming picked her up and let her ride on his neck.
"Wow, so high!" Xiao Hina immediately became happy, shouting loudly and completely forgetting what had just happened.
After playing with Xiao Hina for a while, Liu Ming put her down. "Uncle needs to work now; Xiao Hina, go play with Sister Kanna."
"Xiao Hina will be obedient," Xiao Hina nodded her little head.
"Kanna will watch Xiao Hina," Kanna seemed to really enjoy being a big sister; she always became very happy at times like this.
Leaving the two little adorable ones to watch cartoons, Liu Ming walked into the kitchen.
Tadokoro Megumi was busy in the garden in the yard, so there was no one else in the kitchen.
Just as he was about to prepare some ingredients, Tohru rushed in, holding a strange object in her hand.
"Tohru, Kanna said you went back; was something wrong?" Liu Ming asked worriedly when he saw Tohru.
"Hehe, I went back and caught a good fellow. Didn't you say last time that the better the ingredients, the easier it is to make delicious food? So I went back to my world to see if the ingredients there were useful.
Look, I specifically caught this; it's one of my favorite things to eat." Tohru held up the object in her hand; she was really trying hard for delicious food.
"What is this thing? Is it dead? Is it poisonous?" Liu Ming curiously examined the strange object.
With its colorful hues and barbed back spines, it looked unsettling.
"Of course it's not dead; it's fresh when it's alive!" Tohru immediately replied.
"I wasn't as particular before; I used to just swallow them whole," Tohru said calmly, blinking her eyes.
Liu Ming was stunned; he looked at Tohru, then at the strange creature in her hand, thinking to himself, "As expected of a dragon, her teeth are really good."
"You kill it first, and I'll study it slowly. You still haven't said whether it's poisonous or not; don't poison me to death!" Liu Ming pressed on, knowing that Tohru herself was poisonous.
As soon as he finished speaking, Tohru immediately took action, her palm transforming into a dragon's claw, twisting the thing. With a snap, the creature died.
Liu Ming secretly clicked his tongue.
"Don't worry, it's not poisonous, and the meat is very tender," Tohru replied at this point.
So now the question was, how to cook this thing?
Liu Ming curiously examined it, occasionally turning it over with his hand.
"What's this thing called?" Liu Ming looked at Tohru.
"Hellfang Wolf."
"Such an explosive name." Liu Ming took out a kitchen knife and began to process it; he cooked and talked to Tohru at the same time.
"Tohru, if it's not necessary, don't go back. I don't want to see you get hurt again. As for ingredients, you can find them here; there must be plenty in deep mountains and old forests, or in the deep sea. There's really no need to take risks."
"Are you proposing to me? Oh, I'm so happy!" Tohru cupped her hands over her face, smiling foolishly.
Liu Ming couldn't help but roll his eyes.
