Zaja sighed heavily and crouched beside the Prince, "So... You basically want to get rid of Zaja. Right?"
"Who wouldn't want to get rid of him? There isn't a noble man in the House of Valthorne and the Royal Family that doesn't want to rip out his throat and feast it to Three Headed Demon Dogs! But he is now a Throne Blessed and is untouchable." Egil replied banging his fist into his thigh.
The Throne Blessed was the highest court title, usually granted to the most meritoriously civil official and Palace attendants on their way to retirement. They all possessed enormous wealth mainly due to their salary and also political bonuses and in rare occasions military power.
As far as the Prince was concerned, Zaja had none of that and was just a good looking boy. But that title alone made it such that an attempt on his life was almost equal to an attempt on a member of the Royal Family's life and that would be seen as high treason.
