Chapter 27 - CH -27 ( AFFINITY - NULL )

It had been three days since the Awakening Ceremony, and just as expected, the entire world had descended into chaos.

Well… how could it not?

For the first time in Novacter's history, a Divine-rank talent had appeared. And that alone was enough to shake nations. But the panic didn't stop there. After a decade-long drought, eight SSS-rank awakeners and sixteen SS-rank awakeners had emerged in the same year.

Every powerhouse, noble house, and even the three Domains began calling our generation:

"The Golden Generation."

And we—the cause of all this madness—were currently sitting comfortably inside the Vormir Mansion… waiting for Mother's cooking like hungry children.

Since Vormir City was closer to the capital, we had all come here after the ceremony and stayed for two days. Across from me, Aldric sat wearing his usual smug face, while Anastasia was happily playing with Asher on the couch.

Asher had burst into tears the moment he saw the princess after so long. That kid really missed her.

Earlier, I had told Mother everything that happened.

…Of course, I left out the part about my own divine awakening.

Even so, she was shocked stiff after learning Aldric awakened a Divine-rank talent. But being the woman she is, she eventually digested it calmly.

Uncle came yesterday as well, explaining the entire situation and warning us not to wander outside unnecessarily. According to him, the news of our awakenings had already reached the ears of people who would do anything to stop Aldric—and others like us—from rising.

I knew exactly who he meant.

The Seekers of Abyss.

A deranged cult that worshipped the Abyss and willingly embraced corruption. Their ultimate goal was simple:

Devour Novacter.

They had extremely powerful members—some even believed their leader might have reached the Eternal Rank.

Under normal circumstances, that would be impossible in a middle-grade world like Novacter. The Tower restricted breakthroughs beyond Eternal Rank until one cleared Floor 50.

And Floor 50 had remained uncleared for centuries.

Not even the combined might of five Eternal-rank awakeners could pass it.

As I thought about this, Mother's voice snapped me back.

She walked out of the kitchen holding a tray, her expression soft. Five minutes later, maids began serving food.

"There's still one month before the Academy's entrance exam," Mother said while biting into an apple-like fruit. "What do you kids want to do during this time?"

We exchanged glances.

Anastasia spoke first.

"I'll return to the capital and train. I need to get used to my new abilities…"She sounded a little annoyed—probably because she didn't want to be forced into training.

Aldric nodded. "Same here. There are too many things I need to test."

None of us were surprised.

The Novacter Awakened Academy was famous for its strict evaluation. Even noble heirs weren't guaranteed admission. Talent alone wasn't enough.

Just because Aldric awakened a Divine talent didn't mean he'd get in easily.

I agreed with them. "I'll train too."

After all, I had a public talent—Chrono-Spatial Weaver, an SS-grade ability. The world believed it was my main power. And honestly… I planned to train that first.

My real power, the NULL-related abilities, were far too dangerous for casual use. With my physique, I could afford to be lazy about those for now.

Previously, I couldn't even view the description of my physique or affinity. But after returning home and finally getting some alone time—something that was surprisingly difficult thanks to Asher and Anastasia constantly begging Aldric and me to play with them—I managed to check my full status.

Speaking of Anastasia…

I rubbed my forehead.

"Just what kind of sixteen-year-old girl plays around like an eight-year-old… and still calls herself everyone's 'big sis'…"

Putting that aside, I finally opened the information regarding my affinity and physique.

Immediately, my face stiffened.

Even thinking about them sent a strange chill through my spine.

My so-called "Divine Awakening? "Aldric's Divine talent? The princess's SSS-rank physique?

All of them felt like cheap starter packs compared to what I was reading.

I opened the affinity description:

========================

Affinity — NULL

Description: The force of anti-matter dances at your fingertips. What is creation? What is reality before you? You possess the force of cataclysms—an affinity so ancient that even primordial forces look crude beside it. Though this is not its full glory, what you wield is exceptional.

I stared quietly.

Honestly… I had suspected something strange the moment I saw the word NULL. I thought it might be something similar to Void affinity.

But this?

This was beyond comprehension.

In my previous world, anti-matter was considered the absence of everything. A force that could erase matter entirely. Researchers theorized it held enough destructive energy to mimic the collapse of a star.

But here, I had command over anti-matter itself.

The power to nullify anything.

A terrifying thought.

The future looked bright…Or catastrophic, depending on how I used it.

But as shocking as my affinity was, it was nothing compared to the physique description.

When I first read it, my entire body froze. A cold, chilling wave swept through me.

"What the hell… is this…?"

That was the only thought in my mind.

And even now, I still hadn't fully digested it.

Whatever my physique was…Whatever NULL truly meant…

It was far above Divine.

Far above understanding.

Far above the world.
