Whispers of Kael's prodigy spread.
Too far.
Too fast.
The Hunter Association sent discreet observers. Rival clans sent spies. The mafia sent assassins — all who disappeared the moment they stepped near Kael's aura.
Something ancient also stirred.
Arctus sensed it first — a dark, foreign Nen signature watching their lands from beyond the borders.
"Kael," he warned, "some things in this world do not want a prodigy like you to grow."
Kael stared at the horizon.
"Then I'll crush them before they try."
He said it with the tone of someone commenting on the weather.
But the threat grew.
And disaster approached.
