Chapter 26 - Facing a New Challenge

Isabella stepped forward, her eyes firm and blazing. The Magic Scepter in her hand bloomed with dazzling light, as if to illuminate the dark world. "We are here for justice! No matter who you are, you won't stop us!" she shouted, her voice clear and powerful, filled with unwavering determination.

The mysterious person sneered upon hearing her words, the sound echoing ominously in the silent surroundings. He suddenly spread his arms, instantly unleashing a torrent of Dark Magic. The magic billowed out like black smoke, rushing towards them with a pungent, sickening odor.

Seeing this, Isabella and Merlin immediately cast spells to resist. Isabella bit her lip, focusing intently as she wielded the Magic Scepter. Brilliant, colorful light erupted from its tip, like a radiant rainbow, clashing fiercely with the dark smoke. Fine beads of sweat trickled down her forehead, but her eyes never wavered.

Merlin closed his eyes, chanting incantations. His Wand emitted a thick, solid light, like an impenetrable shield, staunchly resisting the impact of the Dark Magic. His brows were furrowed, his expression serious and focused.

A fierce magical duel began. Light and darkness intertwined, colliding to create dazzling sparks, like fireworks blooming in the night sky. The surrounding trees collapsed under the powerful impact of the magic, emitting dull thuds. The earth trembled, as if terrified by the breathtaking confrontation.

Hu Yulun seized the opportunity to charge towards the mysterious person, his eyes filled with resolve and courage. The sword in his hand flashed with a cold gleam in the darkness, like a shooting star across the night. The mysterious person sidestepped nimbly and eerily, and a black Wand instantly appeared in his hand. He engaged Hu Yulun in close combat.

The mysterious person's Wand swished with vigor, each attack carrying a sharp whistling sound. Hu Yulun dodged nimbly, searching for an opportunity to attack.

Isabella and Merlin's magic grew stronger, their power continuously converging. The mysterious person's Dark Magic was gradually suppressed, and his expression became increasingly grim and contorted.

"Now!" Merlin shouted, his voice filled with urgency and anticipation.

Hu Yulun seized the moment, channeling all his strength into his sword, and thrust it towards the mysterious figure's chest.

A bloodcurdling scream erupted from the mysterious figure, a sound that seemed to come from the depths of hell, sending shivers down their spines. His body swayed for a moment before crashing to the ground, and the Dark Magic dissipated, vanishing like smoke.

They cautiously entered the Castle, which was filled with a musty smell. The air was a mixture of decaying wood and damp earth, creating a feeling of oppression. Deep within the Castle, they found an ancient Magic Book. The cover was worn, and the pages were yellowed, but the Magic Runes and patterns were still clearly visible.

"So that's how it is," Isabella said softly, a look of realization on her face.

They continued their journey, carrying the Magic Book. Hu Yulun looked ahead, his eyes filled with determination. "No matter how many difficulties lie ahead, we will not retreat." His voice echoed in the wind.

Isabella nodded, "Yes, for justice, for peace."

Merlin smiled, "Let us bravely face the new challenges."

Their figures gradually faded into the distance, disappearing on the road ahead.

They proceeded along a winding path, sunlight filtering through the gaps in the leaves, creating patches of dappled light on them.

"I wonder what kind of guidance this Magic Book will give us," Isabella said, gently flipping through the pages of the Magic Book in her hands.

Hu Yulun tilted his head slightly, gazing at the sky. "No matter what, as long as we can solve these mysteries, we can overcome any difficulty."

Merlin stroked his beard thoughtfully, saying, "But we must be careful. The secrets within may hide even greater dangers."

Suddenly, a gust of wind howled past, causing their clothes to flutter wildly.

"This wind is strange," Hu Yulun said warily, gripping his sword hilt tightly.

Before he could finish speaking, a group of dark shadows emerged from the surrounding woods, encircling them.

"Enemies again!" Isabella cried, her Magic Scepter once more flashing with light.

These shadows, like wraiths, moved swiftly, constantly attacking them.

Hu Yulun moved like lightning, his sword dancing, each swing bringing with it a sharp gust of wind, driving back the approaching shadows.

Isabella's magical light, like shooting stars, shot towards the enemy, exploding into dazzling sparks within the shadows.

Merlin, in the rear, muttered incantations, casting powerful magic to build a sturdy defense for them.

"Hold the line, everyone!" Hu Yulun shouted.

Under their tenacious resistance, the shadows' attacks gradually weakened.

Just then, a gigantic shadow appeared before them, its body several times larger than the other shadows, exuding a chilling aura.

"What is that monster?" Isabella exclaimed.

Hu Yulun took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the huge shadow: "Whatever it is, let's attack together!"

The three of them launched their attacks in perfect coordination. Hu Yulun's sword thrust straight towards the monster's chest, Isabella's magic light surged towards the monster like a torrent, and Merlin's magic bound the monster's movements like a rope.

The monster let out a roar, struggling fiercely.

After a fierce battle, the monster finally fell to the ground, dissolving into a cloud of black smoke.

"Finally dealt with it," Hu Yulun said, panting heavily.

They continued forward, the guidance of the Magic Book seemed to be getting clearer.

In the evening, they arrived in front of an ancient Temple. The Temple's doors were closed, and a mysterious atmosphere permeated the surroundings.

"This might be the place we're looking for," Merlin said.

Hu Yulun stepped forward and gently pushed open the temple doors. The interior was dim, with only a few weak rays of light filtering through the windows.

They cautiously entered the temple, the air thick with the scent of old incense.

In the center of the temple stood a giant statue, its eyes deep and mysterious.

Isabella walked up and examined the statue closely: "This statue seems to be hiding a secret."

Suddenly, the statue emitted a beam of light, and ancient text appeared within the glow.

"This is..." Merlin looked at the text in surprise.

They leaned in to study it, discovering that the text was the key to unlocking the secret of the runes.

"Great, we finally found it!" Hu Yulun exclaimed excitedly.

However, just as they were basking in their joy, a low chanting began to echo from around the Temple.

"Watch out, danger!" Merlin shouted urgently.

Then, rows of Magic Runes appeared on the walls of the Temple, flashing with an eerie light as they surged towards them.

Hu Yulun quickly pulled Isabella and Merlin behind him, shouting, "Be careful!" He raised his longsword, attempting to defend against the attack of the runes.

Isabella's expression was grave. She waved her Magic Scepter, muttering an incantation. A light shield instantly materialized in front of them.

Merlin, on the other hand, was intently watching the runes, swiftly considering his options.

The attack from the runes grew fiercer, and cracks began to appear in the light shield.

"This won't work!" Isabella shouted anxiously.

Hu Yulun gritted his teeth and said, "We have to find the source of the runes and destroy it!"

They began searching the Temple for the source of the runes. The surrounding light dimmed, and the atmosphere became increasingly eerie and terrifying.

Suddenly, a massive Magic Circle appeared in the corner of the Temple, continuously releasing powerful magic.

"That's it!" Merlin shouted.

They charged towards the Magic Circle. Hu Yulun brandished his sword, attempting to destroy the structure of the Magic Circle, while Isabella continuously cast spells to disrupt the energy flow of the Magic Circle.

Just as they were fully engaged in fighting the Magic Circle, a group of Dark Mages emerged from the shadows, chanting evil incantations, and reinforcing the power of the Magic Circle.

"Damn it!" Hu Yulun roared, attacking with even more ferocity.

Isabella turned her head and said to Merlin, "Teacher, please think of a way to break these mages' spells!"

Merlin nodded, concentrating and beginning to decipher the Dark Mages' incantations.

After a fierce struggle, Merlin finally found a way to break them. He loudly recited a spell, interrupting the Dark Mages' incantations.

Without the support of the Dark Mages, the Magic Circle's power gradually weakened.

Hu Yulun seized the opportunity, putting all his strength into a sword strike at the core of the Magic Circle.

With a loud bang, the Magic Circle instantly shattered, and the light of the Magic Runes disappeared.

"We did it!" Isabella exclaimed excitedly.

They sat on the ground, breathing heavily.

After a moment, Hu Yulun stood up and said, "Let's get out of here quickly and bring our findings back."

They walked out of the Temple, and the sky outside was already showing the first light of dawn.

"A new day begins. Hopefully, our efforts will bring true peace to this continent," Merlin said with a sigh, gazing into the distance.

They set off on their return journey, carrying the Magic Book and their new discoveries. Along the way, their mood was complex, filled with the joy of victory, but also knowing that the road ahead was still full of challenges.

Back in town, they immediately began to study the new clues.

"I think we're getting closer to the truth," Isabella said with anticipation.

Hu Yulun nodded, "But we can't let our guard down. The forces of Dark Magic may still strike back."

In the days that followed, they studied day and night, constantly searching for ways to combat the darkness.

Meanwhile, in a distant place, the forces of Dark Magic were also secretly watching their every move, preparing for a new round of conspiracies...
