Lucien's amethyst eyes brightened with excitement as he stared at the reward floating before him. Even his breathing grew faster. The value of this reward was far greater than it first appeared. At a glance, it didn't look impressive, yet from a long-term perspective, it surpassed treasures like Ki, Senzu Beans, Soul Devour, and Damage Transfer.
This enhancement meant he could perform gravity training anytime and anywhere, turning himself into a moving training ground. The gravity had no upper limit, allowing him to push the burden endlessly. Even if he became as strong as a Dragon Ball Super Saiyan in the future, he would still be able to continue training through gravity alone.
Lucien genuinely loved this reward.
The only flaw was that it didn't affect combat. It was purely for training. Otherwise, he could suddenly apply ten tons of gravity on an enemy, punching them with overwhelming force. The idea alone was thrilling.
A pity.
Once he collected the VIP reward, Lucien closed the glowing screen. He didn't plan to use the remaining five ordinary Dice rolls immediately. Since Kotomine Kirei and Illya had received reward chances, then Soichiro Kuzuki, Shinji Matou, and Sakura Matou—who were all Masters in the original work—should have their own roll chances as well.
Most importantly, Rin Tohsaka. Even if she wasn't a main heroine, she was an important supporting character.
Calculating it correctly, he could gather ten ordinary rolls and combine them into a Luck Boost. That would be extremely convenient.
A flash of golden lightning crossed the sky, sweeping through the softly falling snow.
Half an hour later, after flying at full speed, Lucien hovered over Fuyuki City and looked down. Compared to the ruins that had covered the area six months ago, new high-rise buildings had risen from the ashes, giving the city a fragile sense of recovery. Even so, the population was noticeably smaller.
Lucien sensed the presence of Soichiro Kuzuki and Rin Tohsaka. Both remained in Fuyuki. He didn't know why they had not left.
Ten minutes later, Lucien stepped out of Ryudo Temple. Soichiro Kuzuki was already dead. No body remained, only a pool of blood staining the wooden floor.
"It seems I arrived just in time."
At the Tohsaka residence, Lucien descended from the sky, hovering above the courtyard before gliding into a room. Inside, Rin Tohsaka quietly shared dinner with Sakura Matou.
They were sisters after all.
"You…"
Sakura's expression trembled, a mix of fear and confusion. Rin tried to appear calm, yet her faintly shaking shoulders betrayed her inner turmoil.
"You ate two people."
Lucien saw everything about her. No matter how many lives she had consumed, he could read it instantly.
During the time he had been asleep, Rin had clearly lost control and devoured two humans.
Although Lucien had transformed into a demon who could withstand sunlight and eat normal food, long periods without consuming human life remained nearly impossible. Even he had not completely escaped that instinct.
Unless one had a unique talent like Nezuko, using sleep to suppress the urge, Rin had no similar ability. She had been suffering in silence since the moment she tasted human blood.
After hearing Lucien expose the truth, Rin's composed mask cracked, her face turning even paler.
Every day had been torment for her. Had it not been for Sakura encouraging her to live, Rin might have killed herself long ago. But suicide meant nothing. She tried stabbing her heart, slitting her throat, yet every attempt ended in the same despair.
She could not die.
"You are the one who turned Rin into this."
Sakura glared at him, anger flaring through her fear. She clearly knew what Rin had done.
"Come here and stand still."
Lucien's voice carried the binding power of Law Following Speech. Sakura's eyes widened in terror as her body moved against her will, stepping toward him until she stood directly before him, trembling uncontrollably.
Lucien reached out and gently traced her cheek. She was once a woman he loved deeply.
"What do you think you are doing…"
Rin abruptly stood up, unable to watch. However, when she met Lucien's cold gaze, her body instantly froze and sank back into her chair. Her whole frame trembled.
Lucien lowered his head, burying his face in Sakura's neck. He inhaled the scent of her hair before biting down.
A soft gasp escaped Sakura, half-pain and half-pleasure, her head tilting back.
"No… no…"
Rin could not move. She could only watch helplessly as her sister's life faded.
After several breaths, Lucien lifted his head. Sakura's shriveled body collapsed before dissolving into ashes, leaving nothing behind.
With Sakura gone, Lucien approached Rin. He lifted her chin, and despite her trembling hatred, she stood up.
"You monster. You will die without a grave."
Her curse met silence. Lucien simply leaned in and sank his teeth into her neck.
Tears streamed down Rin's cheeks. Her gaze slowly drifted upward as her consciousness slipped, her eyes dimming. Moments later, she collapsed lifelessly and turned to ash.
Five minutes later, at the Matou residence, Shinji Matou hung suspended in the air, impaled by four black thorns. His face distorted with terror, yet he could not even scream. His body shriveled and shattered the moment it hit the ground.
Lucien didn't bother with gentleness when it came to men. For beauties like Artoria, Rin, and Sakura, he allowed a painless end. For men, his thorns were enough.
He opened the light screen.
"Successfully hunted the important supporting character Rin Tohsaka in the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works world. Rewards Dice chances based on the situation. Congratulations, you have received three chances, Luck +1."
Soichiro Kuzuki, Sakura Matou, and Shinji Matou each granted one chance. Altogether, Lucien now had eleven. Enough.
Shirou Emiya had four. After discarding one, he still held three. Add Illya and Kirei's two, Rin's three, and the remaining three from Kuzuki, Sakura, and Shinji… perfect.
He used one roll to draw a Luck Boost, then chose to synthesize the remaining ten rolls.
"Do you want to use ten Dice chances to synthesize one Luck Boost chance?"
"Yes."
White light flashed again. A new prompt appeared.
"Random Travel +1. Description: Allows you to travel to other worlds at any time. Please use with caution."
Random Travel could also appear in yearly rewards, but drawing it now reassured him. He feared exhausting his lifespan and dying in this world before receiving it.
The risk had been real.
He triggered the synthesis. Another burst of light erupted.
The model airplane stopped four spaces ahead.
"One ghost mask Harley motorcycle. Description: A legendary motorcycle from the Ghost Rider world. Its body resembles a black metal skeleton in a crouched form, four meters long, surrounded by deep blue flames on its wheels. Its flames grow hotter and its speed increases with the user's power input. If damaged, it instantly repairs itself. It can travel anywhere."
Lucien felt genuine excitement. He had seen the Ghost Rider movie, and this motorcycle was one of the coolest machines he had ever witnessed.
His old, battered bicycle had finally earned retirement.
