It was a den Kaelen had built for a solitary wolf. Then a Dragon moved in. Then a Snake. Then four children.
Now, with Torian, who was physically larger than all of them, standing on the dirt path, the cabin looked like a toy house.
Besides the big chest were six; how are they going to keep all of them?
Torian was in his tiger form when he walked to them.
He then shifted, with a blank expression on his face. He looked at the cabin. He looked at the leaning woodshed.
"This..." Torian gestured vaguely with a hand. "This is your nest?"
"It is our home," Kaelen growled, stepping up beside him, his hackles rising defensively. "I built it with my own claws."
"It is not suitable for living," Torian corrected, looking horrified. "Where do we sleep? In a pile? Like common rodents?"
"You can choose to sleep out," Zarek defended, though he even had to duck his head to enter the porch.
