Chapter 21 - 21

A roar tore a hole in the sky above Central City.

"Stop!"

The power contained in the voice made the air tremble.

A red and blue afterimage, dragging a long sonic boom cloud, crashed down from the edge of the sky.

The speed was too fast.

Clark Kent landed on the edge of the giant crater.

The ground beneath his feet, unable to withstand the impact of his landing, directly sank, and cracks spread in all directions.

His face, usually gentle, was now covered in a layer of frost.

He first looked down at the bottom of the pit, at the red figure that was no longer recognizable as human.

Then, he slowly raised his head and looked at Tel-Roel.

The usual compassion and kindness in those blue eyes had completely vanished.

Only burning rage remained.

Tel-Roel, however, showed no signs of tension.

He even grinned and laughed.

It was the purest form of excitement, the kind a hunter feels when he finally encounters a worthy prey.

"You're finally here."

"Cousin."

Clark didn't respond to him.

Any superfluous words would be a desecration of the rage in his heart at this moment.

His figure vanished from where he stood.

The next second.

He appeared in front of Tel-Roel.

A straight right punch, imbued with boundless fury and devoid of any fancy moves, went directly for Tel-Roel's face.

As the fist moved, the air was compressed and ignited.

Tel-Roel's combat instincts had already been maxed out the moment Clark disappeared.

Instead of retreating, he advanced.

Similarly, he twisted his waist, pushed his hips, and threw a punch.

His movements were as if carved from the same mold.

A fist, also containing terrifying power, met it head-on.

The fists of two Kryptonians.

Collided violently in Central City.

A dull, extremely muffled "Thud!"

At the point where their fists met.

The air was literally squeezed into a visible white sphere of gas.

That sphere of gas only existed for a thousandth of a second.

Then it violently expanded outwards.

A destructive shockwave, centered on the two of them, spread outwards in a perfect circle.

On both sides of the street.

The skyscrapers, which were already crumbling from the previous battle.

Were as fragile as sandcastles in the face of this shockwave.

Silently, completely leveled.

One after another, they turned into piles of rubble.

The ground beneath their feet also cracked inch by inch under the recoil.

Each slid back half a step.

The anger in Clark's eyes burned even brighter.

But he forcibly suppressed the urge to continue fighting.

Barry was still lying in the pit, his life unknown.

His figure flashed, disappearing from his spot.

When he reappeared, he was already in the giant pit.

He carefully picked up Barry Allen, who was covered in blood and unconscious.

His movements were very gentle.

He was afraid that his strength would cause secondary harm to his fragile companion.

At this moment, another graceful figure also arrived from the horizon.

Kara landed beside him.

Clark handed Barry into Kara's arms.

Throughout the entire process, Tel-Roel simply stood with his arms crossed, watching with interest.

He had no intention of stopping them.

To him, saving a toy he had broken was completely insignificant.

"Barry…"

Kara looked at the Flash in her arms, covered in blood and with his suit torn, and her eyes instantly reddened with heartache.

She handed Barry over to the police, who arrived shortly after in a police car with sirens wailing.

Then she suddenly looked up.

A golden flame rose behind her.

She transformed into a golden arrow, flying furiously towards Tel-Roel.

"Why?!"

Kara demanded angrily, her voice trembling.

"Barry had no grudge against you, why did you hit him so hard?!"

"Did you want to kill him?!"

Facing Kara's questioning.

Tel-Roel acted as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world.

He first exaggeratedly pointed at himself.

Then he extended his finger, pointing vaguely at Barry, who was being loaded into an ambulance.

"Kill him?"

He casually curled his lip.

"Don't be ridiculous, Kara."

"I just wanted to see how fast he could run."

"Turns out, he was too fragile to play with, and he broke right away."

He looked around at the city center, which had been completely leveled by their battle.

His gaze swept over Kara and Clark.

The undisguised mockery made the air feel sharp.

"Weakness is the original sin."

"You two as well."

"You have endless strength, yet you tie your own hands for these ants you could crush with ease."

"Look at yourselves now."

He pointed his chin towards the ambulance in the distance.

"You're acting as if the world is ending for a weakling who can only run."

"You two are simply disgracing the name 'El'!"

These words made Kara and Clark tremble all over.

A dangerous red glow began to appear in her beautiful blue eyes.

Burning energy was gathering.

Heat vision, poised to strike.

Just as she was about to erupt.

A large hand rested on her shoulder.

It was Clark.

Clark's expression had returned to calm.

But beneath that calm was a determination more terrifying than raging fury.

He looked at Tel-Roel, enunciating each word.

"You think we're weak."

"You think our protection is wrong?"

Tel-Roel raised an eyebrow.

He didn't speak, waiting for Clark to continue.

"Three days from now."

Clark said, word by word.

"Earth's North Pole, my place."

"We'll fight."

"With our fists, we'll decide who is right and who is wrong."

He laid out the stakes.

"If you win, from now on, whatever you want to do on Earth, we will not interfere."

"If I win…"

Clark's tone paused.

"You must stay, and I will personally teach you what 'rules' mean!"

"Fight?"

Hearing those three words.

Tel-Roel completely lit up.

A wild battle intent, almost solid, burst forth from his body.

"Hahahahaha!"

"Good! This is a good suggestion! Very good!"

He laughed excitedly, and the aura around him uncontrollably surged, stirring up the wind and clouds.

Suddenly.

His laughter stopped.

He extended a finger, first pointing at Clark, then at Kara beside him.

He spoke in an undeniable and matter-of-fact tone.

"However, one by one is too slow."

"If we're going to fight, both of you come at me together!"

"Otherwise…"

He grinned, revealing a set of pearly white teeth, his smile incredibly arrogant.

"It won't be enough for me to fight!"
