"He is cheating on Adele?" Julian looked at his cousin, trying hard not to burst into laughter. The thought sounded so unreal that it almost amused him. The perfect couple of the Varkson family, the ones everyone admired, were now standing at the edge of breaking apart.
"What is funny?" Kol asked, his brows pulling together sharply. The smile on Julian's face vanished at once.
"Uncle, I did not expect that response," Julian said calmly, clasping his hands behind his back. "Adele has been out of town for a month, and she will be back tomorrow."
Tristan sighed deeply at the reminder. "I know exactly what I am doing," he said in a tired voice. "I will fix it."
"He will," Kol said quietly as he brought out another set of old diaries. After waking from the terrible nap he had taken earlier, he had come down to the library to search for a picture of his ex wife.
