In the Saphron City High school, everyone are excited to awaken their innate skill, something they're born with. Those who are compatible with mana will be able to awaken their innate skill. Innate skill has no grade. Some can be useful, some can legendary while some can be duds.
In a corner, Michael Grace stood with other war orphans. When one turns 16, they will be eligible to awakening ceremony. Something that allows them to connect to the will of cosmos, which provides with a data panel of their growth. Simply say, life became a game here but a far more dangerous one where their lives depends on them.
Exactly 25 years back, dungeons and monsters suddenly started appearing and they created chaos. 30% of humanity is wiped out completely before the first awakener appeared. Then the trend continued, they repelled monster waves and cleared dungeons. Slowly the awakeners pushed the monsters back into their dungeons.
Just when they're going to breath a sigh of relief, the real problem began. The invasion of other races. Demons, Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, beastmen, and all kinds of races appeared. They wages war against each other and even pulled into this battlefield which they're unwilling to enter.
Initially all races treated humanity as pawns and wanted to enslave them, but humans also got pinnacle awakeners later, the invasions and threats are repelled but these races still stay around threatening the safety of humanity whenever their guard is down. They lurked to eliminate geniuses of the humanity.
While some of the races allied with humans, some scoffed and called them low borns. The battle is still raging on till now. And in this battle there are children who lost their parents. Michael is one of them. He is a war orphan who lived with the pension of his dead parents and their accumulated savings and assets.
He should thank his parents for that. The will is strong and didn't leave any loopholes. His parents also stated there is no guardianship allowed for him since he is already 13, it's been 3 years since their death and his relatives tried all kinds of ways to get the inheritance only to give up after seeing the will.
But the mental pressure he endured those days are one of the hardest seeing the once smiling faces conspire and look at him with greed like he is some kind of tool to get money. He understood human nature early thanks to that and abandoned his naive thinking.
As the awakening ceremony started the children with backgrounds are first called. Michael can only sigh, the result is already known to these rich kids, they awaken their skill ahead of time and level up a little in secret to be ahead of others. This is just a formality for them. If it isn't for the law preventing awakening before reaching 16 years placed by the will of cosmos, they will do anything to gain power.
The alter on the stage lit up, one by one they're called to awaken their innate skill. This is also a show off from those with backgrounds, they can simply do it in a room and get done with it, but these guys wanted to show off their kids skills and the result, if enemy factions knew there is a genius he will be struck down immediately and more over, those with weak talents will be deemed as trash immediately then and there by others. The third purpose is to recruit these geniuses into their families.
As the ceremony is going on, all students are called and then awakening will commence and the array master will announc their innate skill to everyone. Of course he can't identify all, so all he can do is to categorise new skills based on their use and then ask the students about their effects while observing a demonstration.
At this time, when the big shot kids awakened their skills are announced loudly.

As the war orphans awakened, some got good skills but many ended with some very normal skills like enhanced sense of smell, Improved hair growth, improved hunger etc.,
Finally it's Michael's turn. He went straight into the formation array and he appeared in space. Then he felt something terrifying is watching him. A weird sensation enveloped him and he felt some kind of restriction is being lifted.
Omniscient Eye
A whisper sounded in his mind. It's a name that's engraved into his mind even though he only heard it as a whisper. The innate skill he got. Michael frowned, Omniscient Eye, sounds like an appraisal skill. He can go to auxiliary combat professions like formation master, alchemist, blacksmith and others.
Michael got the status panel too. As he awakened his innate skill, the array master there cast appraisal and announced.

The array master frowned and asked," a new innate skill. Boy, what's the effects of this new innate skill ", Michael who is dazed looked at the array master and a panel floated in front of him.

Michael looked expressionless but internally he is terrified. A legal array master from awakener association became a demonic human, their infiltration reached that deep. Michael told some lies," it is a variant version of Appraisal eye, this allows to see the information which is ten levels above me ".
The array master took out an artifact and some information on it appeared along with an evolution route.

The level requirement is level 30, so he can't see it. appraisal works the same, except it can only view information on targets with 8 levels difference.
The array master looked at him for a few seconds before nodding. He simply told him to get down from the stage and let this ceremony continue.
