Chapter 55 - Chapter 54 Anakin Skywalker

The few people walked in, found a place to sit, and the band opposite them was playing the classic song "Cantina Band."

"A classic tune, it's like I've come to another Universe," Kurt said, a tear involuntarily falling from the corner of his eye as he listened to the familiar music, drinking a hot milk he had just gotten from the bartender.

Watching her cousin drink the milk, Bo-Katan also imitated him, drinking her own milk.

Omen went to ask about the person his boss was looking for, a Toydarian named Vortu.

A Quarren, hearing Omen asking about Vortu, swayed over. "Hmm... I think I've heard of him, but I can't quite remember."

Looking at the Quarren, who had clearly drunk a lot, Omen directly pulled out a hundred credits and slapped them on the table. "Is this enough to help you remember?"

"It seems I have a lead. He should be in Mos Espa, you can ask around there." After saying that, he took the hundred credits, slapped them on the table for the bartender, "Two more Mind Fantasies!" Then he promptly slumped onto the bar.

Omen returned to the three and told Kurt that Vortu was not in this town, but in Mos Espa.

"No rush, the person won't get lost," Kurt said, calmly sitting in the booth.

Omen also sat down and began to drink some alien beverages. Kurt tried blue milk, which is Bantha milk, and how to describe it? It wasn't bad.

After the four of them had eaten and drunk their fill, they prepared to head to Mos Espa. However, they discovered that Mos Espa was at the extreme north, while they were currently at the extreme south. The four had no choice but to return to Hangar 35.

After the spaceship departed, young Peli Motto walked out, jingling the credits she had snatched from a repair droid, and said, "Mandalorians' money is so easy to earn."

Upon arriving in Mos Espa, the group immediately found the outskirts of town where Vortu was located, as a Toydarian was very easy to spot.

Kurt got straight to the point. "Do you have any slaves here?"

Vortu was very confused. He sold parts, not slaves. "I don't sell slaves here. If you want some, go somewhere else. There are plenty of slave sellers or gamblers in the city."

"Are you sure you don't?" Kurt asked again, disbelievingly.

"No," Vortu shook his head, reaffirming that he didn't.

"Alright then," Kurt lowered his head, thinking, 'This is your fault.' "You will tell the truth. Do you have any slaves or not!" Kurt waved his hand, using a Jedi mind trick.

Vortu's eyes glazed over. "I will tell the truth. I don't have any slaves." (Because Kurt's The Force was strong now, he could control Toydarians.)

"He really doesn't!" Kurt was completely shocked. Wasn't Anakin the child of the force? He should be the father of the strongest The Force user born in this Universe. Could it be that because of his arrival, The Force didn't give birth to Anakin?!

"Jedi! Don't use your mind trick on me!" Vortu quickly regained consciousness.

But Kurt was still in a daze, pondering why there was no sign of Anakin. Then he suddenly thought he could ask his mother.

"Do you know the surname Skywalker?" Kurt asked again.

Vortu didn't want to cooperate, but Omen directly threw some Hutt currency, Upi Upi, to Vortu.

"For the money, I'll tell you. Go find the Hutt, Lord Gardulla. She controls all the slaves on Tatooine," Vortu said, taking the money and dismissing everyone.

"Alright, then we'll go meet this Gardulla," Kurt said, rubbing his fists, ready to see what the Hutt was capable of.

"This is truly an unsupervised place; slavery still exists," Omen said, detesting slavery.

"Agreed. If this place were under our Mandalorian control, on the first day, I'd have everyone arrested and thrown into prison," Sharley, as a Mandalorian police officer, also deeply detested it.

Bo-Katan didn't quite understand what slavery meant yet, only that people were kept in cages or wore shock collars. But since her older brother and sister didn't like it, she didn't either.

Arriving at the entrance of Gardulla's palace, Kurt stated his purpose, wanting to purchase slaves.

Gardulla, lying in her palace being served, heard that there were Mandalorians who wanted to buy slaves, and immediately became interested. After all, slave trade throughout the Mandalore Sector was being suppressed. If caught transporting slaves, the Mandalorians would board the ship, rescue them, and send them back, which had caused some losses to their own slave business.

"Let them in."

Walking into Gardulla's palace, it was a place very similar to Jabba's palace, also with many slaves and some bounty hunters. After the four walked in, the bounty hunters stared intently at Kurt and Omen.

"Respected Lord Gardulla, I heard that you have many slaves under your command, so I would like to purchase some for household use," Kurt said, bowing slightly.

"Look, isn't this a Mandalorian? Don't you strictly prohibit the existence of slaves? It's because of your policies that I don't even have enough slaves to hold a slave convention," Gardulla said, looking at Kurt.

"I am very sincere, Lord Gardulla. I only wish to purchase some slaves and have no intention of provoking conflict," Kurt said to the large, fat Hutt, Gardulla.

"Alright, given your sincerity, bring everyone out!" Gardulla ordered hundreds of slaves to be brought forward.

Among these hundreds, Kurt immediately spotted a brown-haired human woman and Anakin Skywalker standing by her feet. Perceiving through The Force, he could also sense equally powerful potential.

"I'll take these few," Kurt casually pointed at several human males and females, finally choosing Shmi Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker.

"Hmm... these are all good hands, truly top-tier among slaves. For example, this one..." Gardulla exaggeratedly introduced slaves she didn't even know.

"One hundred thousand Republic credits," Kurt interrupted her, not even asking how much each one cost, directly ending the negotiation.

"Someone, package these people for this gentleman to take away," Gardulla immediately laughed upon hearing this amount. These people were worth nowhere near that much; at most, thirty or forty thousand.

"Thank you for your generosity, Lord Gardulla. I'll take my leave now," Kurt said, taking the purchased slaves and leaving the palace, returning to where his ship was docked.

Along the way, little Anakin looked around, always walking beside Shmi Skywalker. These slaves remained silent until Kurt spoke, fearing they might offend their new master.

Finally, at the ship, Kurt spoke, "As you can see, I am a Mandalorian and do not need so many slaves. So all of you can choose to come live on my planet with me, or choose freedom. Of course, I will provide each of you with a portion of the necessary start-up funds."

Watching the slaves below whisper, Shmi Skywalker was the first to step forward. "I am willing to go to your planet, as long as I am with my child."

"Of course," Kurt replied. That's exactly what he wanted; if she and her child didn't come, it would all be for nothing.

All the other slaves also chose to go live on Vadiel.

"A very wise choice."

A day later, the people returned to Vadiel. Kurt registered everyone for Vadiel residency, proving that they were now Mandalorians.

Then, a day later, he knocked on Shmi Skywalker's door.
