Xavier's nightmares have gotten more severe. He lies in wait hoping it'll go away but the nightmares have no intent to stop. Though the night was early it had abruptly passed as the sun rose in a split second. Zoning out has become normal for Xavier nowadays. He's off his pills again.
When he was around 13 he was diagnosed for schizophrenia, adhd, and anxiety. Which really doesn't help the situation of him being off his pills. He currently goes to oak wood school in the outskirts of Colorado.
He's what you expect from an average 15 year old. Scared of the future, growing as a person, losing grip of what's real and what's not.
It's about the third day he hasn't had his pills and the nightmares just keep being relentless. He has a thought and takes a deep breath. He's gonna steal some weed from his dad.
Xavier has never had good terms with his dad nor did his dad have good terms with him. Ever since his mom died at least. The clock strikes 2 after midnight and that is the call for plan to get into action.
He lurks in inside trying to be quiet and hold in the pain of tip toeing with bruised feet given by his father. The paint peeling off the walls, the creaking floors, the subtle moonlight coming through the window all make it more stressful for our Xavier.
He reaches in the drawer, his heart stopping as he takes 2 grams. He slowly walks away till he hears "You gotta work for that you little shit." His father sits with a slumped posture on the bed.
The hours pass and Xavier lays on the floor while his father stands back up zipping up his pants and going to the bathroom. Xavier is used to it by this point yet, there's always this voice saying "Give him back the pain he's done to you honey." Xavier might be broken but he would never hurt another no matter what they've done to him.
Xavier walks away dizzy and nauseous like all the times before. He lays weakly on his rotten bed while lighting up the weed in the bong. The long rip of the bong numbs the pain yet it's the one thing that's gonna eat him up. The previous exhaustion combined with the weed mixes into drowsy sleep as Xavier falls out of reality.
