Chapter 1 - 01. Summoned

"They are so big, Drax! Holy shit!"

A male teenager in a school uniform—white shirt tucked into a pair of navy blue trousers—stared at another young girl in the distance.

The girl he was looking at wore a similar uniform, except hers had a navy blue skirt that stopped halfway down her thighs.

Clearly, these two were students at the same school.

This male student was practically drooling as he stared and expressed his crush on the girl.

The person he was talking to—named Drax—didn't pay any attention to him whatsoever.

Instead, Drax yawned lazily and scratched his black hair, barely keeping his eyes open.

From the dark circles underneath his eyes, anyone could easily tell that Drax desperately needed sleep and really wanted the chance to get some, without being disturbed.

"Hey, man," his friend sitting beside him said, shaking Drax vigorously to wake him up temporarily.

Drax groaned.

"What is it?" a half-awake, blue-eyed Drax asked lazily, staring at his friend with a bored expression.

He just wanted a little time to sleep.

After shaking him awake and seeing how uninterested Drax was in the conversation, his friend couldn't help but sigh and leave Drax alone.

He crossed his arms over his chest and grumbled.

Drax neatly adjusted his uniform, smoothing out the wrinkles his friend had made without complaining.

He then glanced to his side, looking at the book he'd been reading earlier but got so incredibly bored with that he dropped it and tried to get some sleep instead.

It was lunch break and if he didn't sleep now, then he'd have to wait until school ended.

"You really shouldn't stare at a girl's chest so openly, Melo. You're gonna land us in trou—"

Drax tried to caution his friend before he suddenly felt a pressure trying to shut his mouth, almost scratching the corner of his lips with fingernails.

Melo grabbed Drax's mouth in a flash, covering it as his eyes darted around searching for anyone eavesdropping on their conversation.

Drax saying that out loud could get them in serious trouble over something he didn't think was a big deal.

"Shh! You wanna get me—no, us... expelled?!" Melo protested, but Drax didn't really care about that.

After the last few days of intense science project work that kept him away from home for four whole days, he was seriously considering taking time off school to get some quality rest.

Even without an official suspension, he'd gladly take a few days off of his own free will.

To Drax, Melo's fears weren't really bad enough to worry about.

Drax was simply being honest with his friend about how he was openly staring at and commenting on another student's boobs without caring about the consequences.

Melo removed his hand from Drax's mouth when he felt Drax was ready to keep quiet, and Drax did, saying nothing more after that.

Drax relaxed on the bench at the playground where they sat, spending their break time just like the many other students who were around doing different activities.

He lazily threw his head back over the chair and breathed out.

"36 DD cup size. Cherry pink bra. Not too tight, not too loose. Ahh..." Drax paused and took a deep breath like he was about to make a point.

"...Just right," he muttered quietly, pinching his right index finger and thumb together in a chef's kiss gesture.

His voice was, however, loud enough for Melo to hear.

"Ehhh?!" Melo exclaimed in shock.

He froze and his jaw dropped, almost hitting the grass and sand of the playground as he heard Drax speak.

All this time, he thought Drax hadn't been paying attention to what he was looking at, without realizing that Drax had gotten even more details about the girl than he had from just staring.

Melo's eyes twitched as he stared at Drax, his mouth curling into a smile because he simply couldn't believe his friend.

Melo playfully slapped his arm and laughed. "You pervert! And here you were, making me look like the guilty one!"

"You're the one being loud now, Melo," Drax calmly reminded him.

Drax then sighed and picked up the book beside him, using it to cover his face and muffle his voice even more.

"Only those who get caught are guilty," he told Melo.

Melo shook his head and continued looking at the girls around the playground, searching for someone else to stare at.

Not listening to Drax's advice to avoid getting caught while checking out their female classmates inappropriately, Melo kept looking until he was finally caught.

"Yikes!" he exclaimed as he felt a cold shiver race down his entire spine.

He repeatedly tapped Drax's lap, trying to wake him up, but Drax wasn't in the mood for that.

"We gotta get out of here, Drax!"

While he was still trying to convince Drax to follow him, one of the female students who was done with Melo's perverted stares was approaching them... and she looked really angry.

She was furious and had a metal pole in her hand as she stomped toward them with her little gang of three other pretty girls, whom Melo had also been checking out.

"The Witch is coming!"

That was what this particular girl was called throughout the entire school—the Witch.

Melo had never understood the meaning behind that nickname like he did now while watching her charge at them with a pole in her hand like an angry bull running at a matador.

Hearing the nickname, Drax removed the book from his face and lifted his head.

However, it was already too late.

Bang—!

Before Drax could see what was happening, the pole hit him hard on the side of his face, knocking him to the ground where he landed with dangerous force on his head.

Melo managed to dodge the attack from the Witch to save himself, leaving Drax as the next closest target for the swinging pole.

All Drax heard was the swooshing sound of the pole cutting through the air before hitting him hard on the side of his face, and then everything became blurry instantly.

Drax lost consciousness immediately, so fast that he didn't even realize when he slammed his head hard on the ground, causing his head to bleed.

'It's so... so... cold,' he expressed internally as he barely had any energy to speak while blood seeped out from both the side and back of his head.

[Ding!]

[Acquiring Host...]

"Yo, Drax...!" Melo shouted his name. "Are you okay, man?"

"Wake up!"

Drax could barely see anything in front of him.

He faintly heard his name as his consciousness slowly faded away from his body.

The voice that was familiar to him was becoming more distant by the second.

"Come on, man," Melo panicked.

The Witch and her friends panicked.

The entire playground erupted into chaos.

The hands of the girl who hit him started trembling badly as she threw the pole away.

She was in trouble.

She knew she was.

She didn't mean to kill a fellow student.

How could she?

She was just blinded by rage.

She had just put another student in a terrible situation—a life or death one.

She didn't know what to do and rushed to Drax, kneeling beside Melo.

"I-I... I didn't mean to," she stuttered as tears poured from her eyes.

Her whole body shook.

Melo gave her an angry look. "Of course you did! Now he's not moving."

"Wake up, Drax!"

"Come on, bro! Stop this! Wake up!"

Drax could hear them at first but within seconds, their voices started fading away until he heard nothing anymore.

Then everything went black.

In another world called Nethria, a realm that looked like something straight out of a fantasy story.

"My Queen, I am only your spirit companion," a female voice said as she bowed her head before another royal woman in front of her.

The queen had a pair of mesmerizing golden eyes.

She also had long pointy ears and white hair, with a beautiful golden crown sitting on top of it, showing her royal status.

She wore a sad expression when her spirit companion refused to help her.

"You are also my sworn protector, sister and friend too. Come on, Alucard. You know I need you for this to work," the queen persisted, making puppy dog eyes at Alucard.

"It won't hurt anyone. I promise."

Alucard swept her long red hair off her face and away from her bosomy chest, pushing it behind her back as she looked at the elf queen.

Knowing that the elf queen was going to go ahead with her plan no matter what anyone told her, Alucard casually agreed to help her out.

Either way, the elven queen was going to do what she wanted and nobody was going to stop her.

That was the type of person Queen Freya was.

Troublesome, even for the powerful beings of other realms.

She was just that stubborn, though she was also beautiful.

"Fine!" Alucard scoffed, clearly stuck in this situation.

Either way, she would still be linked to whatever happens here whether she participated or not, so why not just be guilty from the start?

Wasting no time, the queen rushed to the center of the grand hall and within seconds, she spoke strange words and summoned a large circle of glowing light whose symbols lit up the room.

At the center of the spell circle was a figure.

It was a blank form, shaped to look like a baby doll.

The baby doll was supposed to serve as the body for the new life they were about to create.

"You know that's a high level—"

"Yes, Alucard. It's forbidden to use that summoning spell. Yes, I know that. Come on already," the queen interrupted her spirit companion.

The queen wasn't stupid.

She clearly knew this was a dangerous spell before using it.

'How can she be so casual about this?' Alucard wondered, staring at the queen for a few seconds.

'There's definitely going to be trouble eventually. It's not like those guys will just sit quietly without making their presence known.'

While Alucard was lost in thought, the elf queen's voice snapped her back to reality while holding out a knife to her.

"It's your turn, Alucard," the elf queen called her attention back to the ritual.

Alucard looked at the elf's hand and saw drops of her blood falling into the central part of the magic circle, making it glow even brighter.

Alucard felt in her gut that the world wouldn't stay quiet about this but there wasn't much she could do now.

She shook her head and sighed as she joined the queen to stand close to the center of the circle.

Alucard took the knife from her and cut open her left palm, then spilled some of her dragon blood on the symbols of the magic circle and on the baby doll as well.

With the blood of both queens—the dragon queen and elf queen—mixed together, the circle started rotating, slow but steady.

The two queens stepped back, standing a little bit away from the edge of the circle to watch.

Shing—!

The summoning circle blazed with its brightest light as a strange event started happening.
