The training session began at dawn the next day. Five hybrids gathered in the abandoned room as planned.
Nyx stood in the center, looking at the nervous faces around her. Lamia was there, along with Kai and his parents, and a young woman named Sera who Nyx hadn't met before.
"Thank you for coming." Nyx began nervously.
"We're grateful that you're willing to help us." Kai's mother said. "Even though it puts you at risk."
"We're all at risk anyway." Nyx replied.
Arthur stood near the wall, observing. He'd insisted on being present but promised to only intervene if she asked for help.
"My father will assist me if I do something wrong." Nyx said, gesturing to Arthur. "He has good experience in teaching hybrids. It's my first time teaching so there can be mistakes, so bear with me."
All hybrids nodded in understanding.
