Three days after the secret meeting, Nyx was standing in a private training ground in the lion territory. The space was surrounded by high stone walls and thick trees so that no one could see them.
Raziel has shifted into his hybrid form. He was neither fully lion nor fully human.
"You need to stop thinking like a human." He repeated for the nth time. "Shifting isn't a logical process. It's an instinct."
"Then how do I do it?" Nyx asked in frustration. "Everyone keeps telling me what not to do, but no one is telling me what should I do."
"Because it's different for everyone." Raziel said as he stood in front of her. "Pure bloods like us, can shift as soon as we're born. It's like breathing, we don't learn… we just know it. But you're a hybrid. Your human side has been dominant your whole life, that's why your human consciousness has built walls around your wolf."
