Blargh! Lyria vomited on the floor. If not for Fenric's sharp reflexes, he would have been drenched. The smell immediately assaulted his nose. As a clean freak, he shifted form immediately feeling uncomfortable with the smell.
Lyria squealed, "Handsome man, wait!" She squinted her eyes. "Foxy, where are you?" Pointing at the unknown man, she demanded, "What have you done to Foxy? Don't think because you're handsome I will not fight you!" She raised both hands in a punch stance as if to fight "Come at me, yeah!!"
Ignoring the woman speaking gibberish, Fenric carried her. Lyria squealed, "Wheee! I can fly!"
As she got closer to him, the stench of vomit mixed with wine formed a horrible odor that assaulted his nose. He immediately quickened his pace, dropping Lyria directly into the bathtub and turning on the water. Not wanting her to drown, he stopped filling it when the water level reached her chest. Ignoring her, he went to clean up the mess she had made.
That woman definitely needs to be punished, he thought.
After cleaning, he opened the windows and sprayed the room with her perfume. While he was doing all this, Lyria, feeling very uncomfortable, removed her clothes until she was completely bare.
"Uh, that's more like it"
This was the scene Fenric saw when he entered. Seeing the pure white skin and the full chest, he gulped before noticing a streak of red on the floor, realizing he had a nosebleed. After using a tissue to wipe his nose, he carried Lyria from the bathtub to the room. He walked faster as the woman moved about, rubbing against a certain part of him and even tugging at his wound.
While he tried to dress her and dry her hair, Lyria's hands became more "dishonest," until she touched a certain spot.
"What is this? Did you put a screwdriver in your pocket?" She reached out to grab it. "Why is it hot? Handsome, why are your ears and face red?"
That question was the straw that broke the camel's back; Fenric knocked her unconscious. After drying her hair, he placed her gently on the bed. As he did, he felt his heart beating fast; it had been a long time since he had been this excited. The last time was when he killed all the other successors chosen to rule the gang. Ignoring these thoughts, he cleaned his bleeding wound and bandaged it again. Then, he changed back into his animal form and lay down beside her on the bed.
Light rays from the window woke Lyria, followed by a splitting headache. Ugh, I will never drink again, she thought. Reaching across the bed, she took her Clawcom to check the time.
"Sh*t, 9:30 AM! I am late!"
Jumping down from the bed, thoughts of how she got there flashed through her mind, but she ignored them. She took a quick shower and dressed immediately. Looking at her superb reflection in the mirror, there were no signs of her rushed actions. A knock came from the door; the waitress brought breakfast, which Lyria shared with Foxy.
"I will be coming back earlier today, so I will check your wound when I'm back."
Lyria left quickly, taking a pre-ordered ClawRider. Arriving at the restaurant, she prepared to meet with the sales agent. "Sorry for the delay. I hope I haven't kept you waiting for long," Lyria said to the woman seated across from her.
"Not at all, I just got here. Would you like to order anything as we discuss the building lease?"
"Just water will do," Lyria replied.
Alex glanced at the young beastwoman before her while pulling out the contracts. Lyria was exuding an aura of authority; if Alex hadn't known she was there to sign a contract, she would have thought Lyria was a top CEO in the industry.
Slurrrp. Lyria sipped the water through a straw while reading the contract. Noticing no issues, she signed the three-year lease.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you, Miss Snowpelt," Alex said while shaking hands.
"Same here. Have a nice day."
After leaving the restaurant, Lyria strolled around for a while before remembering she had left her fox at the inn. Her fox—Lyria hadn't noticed the change in how she addressed Fenric. She headed to the market to get ingredients for lunch. Back at the inn, she saw the fox sleeping on the bed. Hearing the door open, the fox opened his eyes; after seeing it was Lyria, he closed them again. Lyria felt as though a flash of murder intent had crossed his eyes, but she rubbed her own eyes, thinking she must be mistaken.
Not wanting to disturb him, Lyria went to the kitchen to cook. After dishing out the food, she felt a warm, furry body beside her, not knowing when the fox had arrived. She gave him his portion, which he ate quickly but elegantly.
After relaxing, she checked the fox's injuries. Seeing the scab that had formed earlier was torn, Lyria couldn't help scolding him. "Foxy, were you playing rough while I wasn't around? See how your wound is bleeding again!"
Fenric just rolled his eyes. As if you weren't the one who wouldn't stay still yesterday, he thought. Remembering Lyria's behavior from the previous night, his ears flushed. Noticing how the white ears became pink, Lyria couldn't help but touch them, making Fenric freeze before jumping from her lap.
Chuckling, she decided to leave him alone. Shortly after, she received a video call from Tessa.
"Lyria! How are you doing? When are you coming back? I missed you," Tessa said coquettishly.
"Yuck! I found a building already, and I won't be leaving until it is fully renovated. I miss you too, Tessy."
"Lyria, I hope you haven't forgotten your cute brothers!" Milo's voice interrupted, and his face appeared on the screen.
"Not at all, my favorite brother! How are you doing?"
"Gasp! She has chosen a favorite!" Finn's voice shouted from the background. "Lyria, how could you break my heart like this?"
The day ended with Lyria bickering with her brothers, talking to her fathers, and then her mother, before the video went back to Tessa, after talking for while the call ended with goodbye.
"Foxy, we are ordering takeout tonight!"
