Okay. New problem. Not the problem. Just… an embarrassing side quest. Titan Alex could not talk. That was fine. Titan Alex also could not stand properly, which was significantly less fine.
The moment I offered him a thread of my Qi, just a polite sip, really, his entire colossal body jolted like a newborn deer discovering legs for the first time. One foot slid. The other overcorrected. Magma sprayed. Ash flew.
And then…Thud. The great Sir Alex Canva, Knight of Nothingwood, legendary warrior, savior of realms… Faceplanted. Hard. In the dry dirt.
The ground shook. Birds fled. Chubby made a strangled noise that might've been laughter or terror. I clapped a hand over my mouth, shoulders shaking, because dear gods—his massive feet had done something between a cha-cha and a drunken jig before betraying him completely.
"I— I'm so sorry," I wheezed. "I should've warned you. Qi reacts… enthusiastically."
