'I will always choose you.'
Lara could not get those words out of her mind. Curtis had said nothing else after those words, but Lara's mind had been in a state of turmoil.
He would always choose her.
Wow.
Those words weren't something anyone could say so casually, which meant that Curtis knew what he was talking about.
And he absolutely meant it.
Her heart thumped violently. It threatened to fall out of her chest.
She swallowed past a lump in her throat before she spoke again.
"You...I don't know what to say," she whispered. Curtis shrugged.
"You don't have to say anything. I just told you the truth. There's no reason to say a word," he stated calmly.
She shook my head at him.
"I don't deserve you," Lara managed to say. Curtis raised his eyebrows at her.
"You are the mother of my children, and the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. You deserve all the beautiful things in this world."
