"Let's get divorced."
Tolu froze. Had Mike really asked her for a divorce? It couldn't be, right?
He would never say something as ridiculous as that. Or would he?
"I'm sorry. I didn't get that. What do you mean? What are you talking about?" she asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Mike's gaze was cold and unwavering.
"You heard me, Tolu. Let's get divorced," Mike repeated.
Tolu's brows furrowed into a frown.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because I am sick and tired of this marriage. Let's just... go our separate ways. You make me so exhausted and I don't think I want to keep putting up with you," he deadpanned.
A bitter laugh slipped past Tolu's lips.
"You've got to be kidding me. We are not going to get divorced, Mike. Whatever is eating at you can go to hell," she snapped.
Mike ran a hand through his hair, frustrated beyond belief.
