Lisa was in her room, enjoying a tall and chilled glass of wine when her bedroom door was slammed open.
Curtis stormed in. Lisa smiled at the sight of her son.
"Well hello there, my darling son. How are you? It is so nice for you to come over for a visit. I have missed you so much," she said sweetly as she stood up.
Lisa held her arms out for a hug, but Curtis ignored her. Instead, he planted his feet a few feet away from her and glared down at his mother.
"Why are you playing games with me, Mother?" he asked. His voice came out in a low rasp, and there was so much anger, so much venom in it that Lisa knew it was time to drop her sweet act.
Her smile slid away from her face as she responded.
"What are you talking about?" she asked. Curtis could feel his jaw grinding together, and it was taking all of his willpower to not break stuff.
