Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 "Shark tornado"

"What happened?" The innkeeper rushed into the room with a hunting rifle. Seeing the shark on the ground, he exclaimed in shock, "Oh my God, why are there sharks here?"

Bai Mu explained, "You might not believe it, but these things flew down from the sky."

"...No, I believe it now." The innkeeper looked behind Bai Mu, his hand holding the gun trembling slightly. He had seen several sharks fly by.

"Do I need to explain further?"

"No need. It's not safe here anymore. Asian, come with me." The innkeeper glanced at the shark carcass on the ground; Bai Mu had smashed its head with his suitcase.

The bite marks on the floor intrigued the innkeeper; how had it been chewed like that?

Bai Mu quickly gathered his belongings and followed the innkeeper out of the room, making sure to close the door behind him.

But as soon as the door closed, a new shark broke through, biting the innkeeper's leg.

"Aaaaah! FU#K!" the innkeeper screamed, shooting the shark's body to pieces. "Oh, I need an ambulance... no, we can drive to the hospital!"

Looking at his bloodied leg, the innkeeper pleaded with Bai Mu, "Help me."

"Let's go." Bai Mu extended a helping hand to the innkeeper, and in the next instant, he pulled sharply. Before the innkeeper could react, several sharks swarmed over and crashed into the spot where the innkeeper had just been.

"...Don't eat the pickled radish! Let's go!!" The innkeeper panicked, shoving a key into Bai Mu's hand. "We need to go to the hospital, I feel like I'm going to die."

His leg, bitten by the shark, was still bleeding profusely. Bai Mu didn't know anything about first aid; after going downstairs, he helped the innkeeper bandage his leg to prevent further bleeding, but then he was helpless.

Before leaving, the innkeeper didn't forget to take out a box of ammunition to carry with him. Looking at the sharks flying everywhere, only his hunting rifle offered any sense of security.

After getting into the innkeeper's pickup truck, Bai Mu immediately drove off. Watching the sharks riding the storm, Bai Mu felt it was absurd.

The last alternate dream was quite normal—a typical biohazard, a typical nuclear annihilation ending, plus an unsurprising subsequent conspiracy.

Everything was normal then, but who could explain this alternate dream?

Shark tornado? No, it's a shark tornado!

Bai Mu thought of the movies he'd watched before his transmigration. Although they were considered terrible, they were incredibly addictive if you didn't think too much about them. He watched six in a row.

Yes, there were six of them…

"Thank you for your help, you're practically a messenger sent by God." The innkeeper, sitting in the car, groaned in pain after speaking. Bai Mu knew how painful a shark bite was, but the person next to him made him not want to experience it.

  "Where's the hospital?"

"Just keep going." The innkeeper roused himself; his leg was a serious concern, and he couldn't afford to be careless because of the pain.

Not calling an ambulance wasn't just a matter of cost; in this awful weather, waiting for an ambulance might mean certain death, and even the possibility of one coming was uncertain.

"Phew~ You're really strong." Looking at the storm outside the window, the innkeeper pointed out the way while trying to start a conversation.

  "I like exercising."

"Sigh, I once wanted to get a gym membership." The innkeeper sighed, looking at his stubbornly protruding belly. Noticing Bai Mu slowing down, he quickly said, "Don't slow down! Ignore that damn red light!"

In this kind of weather, nobody cares about people breaking traffic rules.

"It's not a red light, it's sharks." Bai Mu watched several sharks fly past ahead. Heaven knows how many sharks there were here, and they were even more unpredictable than zombies.

The innkeeper's face contorted in pain: "Why are sharks flying in the sky?!"

about this."

Bai Mu looked at the shark stuck in the ground, decisively got into his car, and drove off. He

needed to find a safe zone first; sharks flying around in the sky were incredibly unsafe.

He retracted his earlier assessment of this world. This was no ordinary world! Three-headed sharks, five-headed sharks—their arms were nothing compared to a shark tornado.

While searching for a safe zone, Bai Mu encountered something even worse: the water was rising.

The sharks falling from the sky were huge, and the rain from the storm was heavy.

The water rise was unusual; with water, the sharks that became melee defense towers upon landing were essentially having an extra obstacle. The moving sharks brought even greater risks and affected the use of transportation.

Bai Mu touched the two pistols he carried. Facing the flying sharks, these weapons didn't give him enough peace of mind.

  At least zombies couldn't fly.

Thinking of something, Bai Mu changed direction again, heading towards the west coast. He was still thinking about the fisherman.
