The engineering faculty of Bangkok International University had once again erupted into excitement. Not due to finals week, not due to Sports or Music Week—but because of their arrival.
Sky Prakawin, a second year engineering student, rich, rude, handsome, and arrogant to boot. He had eyes that could freeze fire. A gait to match his confidence and superiority.
Next to him,
Wine Sirivatana—charming smile, heartbreaker, and Sky's best friend from childhood.
Ice Chanin—quiet and cold as his name suggested, but deadly in hands when provoked.
Mark Jantra—the genius geek in gaming, also with an expressionless face.
Together, they were known as Engineering F4.
They were wealthy. They were famous. They were stunning. They were untouchable.
Girls screamed. Boys stared with envy. Teachers sighed with exhaustion.
Sky took off his sunglasses and smirked.
> Sky: "Another day of "peasants" blocking my way... tch."
Wine laughed out loud.
> Wine: "Dude, you could at least pretend you respect them... they idolize you!"
> Sky: "Not my problem."
They walked in like they owned the campus.
On the other side...
A group of four rushed in half-running.
Gun Thawin, first-year engineering student, sweet and hardworking, and would always keep smiling (even when life's punched him).
Following were:
Mike -- Loud and cheerful, loves food more than people.
Earth -- Calm, loves nature, probably married to plants.
Arm -- Soft-hearted giant, could break bones but cries at lame; sad movies.
Mike panting:
> Mike: "Gun! Why do you have to walk so fast! We're not late!"
> Gun: laughing "You were busy flirting with cafeteria aunty, that's what made us late."
Gun turned a corner, to BAM! He collided with a firm chest and fell back.
His books went flying everywhere.
The crowd gasped, and the F4 boys stopped.
Gun looked up slowly, into cold, sharp eyes.
Sky's eyes.
Sky looked down. Annoyed. Irritated.
> Sky: "You blind?"
Gun swallowed hard, fighting off panic.
> Gun: "S-Sorry! I didn't see you there. My bad."
> Sky: "Clearly."
Wine tapped Sea's shoulder and leaned in:
> Wine: "Easy now. He is kind of cute."
Sky narrowed his eyes at him.
Gun hurried to gather his textbooks, fingers trembling.
Then… a hand stole the spotlight.
Earth's hand.
He gave a slight bow to the F4.
> Earth: "Sorry ka... he's a little clumsy."
Ice lifted an eyebrow—someone dared to speak politely to him?
Mike pulled Gun back before things got worse:
> Mike: "Gun! Let's go before you die."
The F4 guys watched as they left.
Something caught Sky's eye, something strange… just a flicker.
Mark smiled.
> Mark: "Sky… your eyes never lie."
Sky clicked his tongue and continued ahead.
> Sky: "Shut up."
Yet sabitchang's eye… kept going back.
Later that night…
Gun sat himself on a unique-looking bench on a tiny rooftop, gazing into the balcony sunset.
> Gun: "Why am I still thinking about him...? He's such an ass."
But the memory of angry, crooked eyes didn't fade.
At that precise moment…
Sky stood in his fancy balcony, gazing into the sky, the same sunset.
> Sky (whispers to himself):
"Who the hell are you…?"
