Mei's fingers kept twirling her hair as she stammered,
"Um… I... I'm fine now. I think I'm all better… A-are you awake too?"
Only then did Otis realize he had fallen asleep.
"Sorry, I dozed off."
Mei shook her head rapidly.
"No, no, it's fine. Sorry for troubling you. Thank you… let me treat you to dinner."
Otis nodded.
"Alright. Then I'll go back to my room."
He said that, yet… he didn't move.
Mei waited and waited, but Otis stood completely still.
She blinked at him expression cold and unreadable.
She blinked again.
"What? Is there… something else you need to tell me?"
Otis was silent for a moment, then said flatly,
"My legs are numb."
Falling asleep sitting like that had made both his legs go completely dead.
Mei tilted her head, then burst out laughing.
Especially because Otis announced it with such a straight face, it was too funny.
Mei hopped off the bed, feet touching the floor.
"Oh boy, I give up on you. Come here, I'll help you."
