Evelin's POV
"Yes, it was Jensen Hamilton, Mr. Hamilton's father, who orchestrated the fire," Dalton said, extending a document toward me. "This is the compensation list. Please look it over, and if there's anything else you need, feel free to ask."
I didn't bother glancing at the papers. My eyes stayed locked on Dalton. "I don't need any compensation from the Hamilton family—I just want to see him!"
"Sorry, that's not up to me, but I'll make sure Mr. Hamilton gets your message," Dalton replied.
My brows drew together slightly. "He doesn't want to see me?"
Dalton paused, then said carefully, "Mr. Hamilton really just wants you to be alright, Ms. Elysia."
I considered this for a moment, then spoke with conviction. "Then please pass a message for me—tell him I want to be with him again."
Dalton's eyes widened, surprise flickering across his face. "Rest assured, Ms. Elysia. I'll definitely let Mr. Hamilton know what you said."
I stayed quiet after that.
