Selina's POV
"Obsessed? Are you kidding me?" I grit my teeth, heat rising in my cheeks. "My boyfriend knows I was wasted last night. He won't care—he's pretty laid-back about this stuff."
"Go on then, call him over. That is, if he's actually your boyfriend," Rey says, that familiar smirk playing at his lips.
I shoot him a death glare.
"You know what I do for work. Bring him here, and I promise you, I'll figure out real fast whether he's legit," Rey continues, his tone maddeningly calm.
I'm practically speechless. "Rey, are you being serious right now? Don't tell me that after all this time, you've suddenly realized you're head over heels for me and just have to get back together!"
"I haven't been with anyone since we split. My shrink thinks I've got some leftover baggage from our breakup—and here's the kicker, he says I should get back together with you temporarily. Apparently, it's supposed to be healing," Rey replies, his expression completely deadpan.
