Evelin's POV
Grace and her two companions noticed Selina and me, their faces subtly changing.
Claire stepped up first, calling out, "Evelin, seriously, how is it we bump into you everywhere?"
I shot Claire a cold look. "Honestly, I'm wondering the same thing. How do you still have time for shopping? Once that trial kicks off, you probably won't get another chance."
"You're just dying to watch me and mom get locked up, aren't you? Well, dream on. Grey found us the top lawyer money can buy. We're not going down," Claire said with satisfaction.
"Typical—idiots always live in fantasy land!" Selina scoffed. "You and your mother lured Eve into that hotel room and even paid someone to slip her drugs. Someone caught your faces crystal clear on that hotel's massive screen. What bottom-feeder attorney convinced you you'd walk free?"
Claire had no comeback, but Dalia charged forward, voice sharp. "Mind your tongue! My son has serious money. Why would he hire some hack lawyer?"
